Top of the threat list powers do NOT actually place yourself above your own threat. Retested this much easier on fighter, and it resulted in no gain, using a top of the threat list power, while you are already over 10% above everyone else on the threat list!

Awesome video as always! You mentioned some skills that you thought were bad and got no attention. I know this has nothing to do with threat but the one that always annoyed me is "Divine Protection: Adds up to 10% Critical Avoidance whenever your divinity is full. This effect decreases as divinity decreases". Please correct me if you think I am looking at it wrong but I believe it basically means it would not be possible to consistently have 90% Critical Avoidance and will always be down up to 10% since we are not sitting around at full divinity in combat.

yes, it would require you to be at full divinity to make use of. The fighter gets 10% crit avoid, but while blocking, which is a lot more consistent. This is what i mean as a whole for the paladin, we continue having to make a choice between more threat or more survivability.

@@angrypossum2152 You can, it just becomes wasted stats after 90 though since that is where it "locks". This is a unique case though where overcapping would be good. There is also a modifier in DH where you can reduce power/defense by 20% for example. If you had raptor+other power comps, you could overcap for that modifier. Though realistically, you neither will reach 90% crit avoidance normally or will ever use that modifier lol

everyone wanting and hoping for that pali rework... its specifically a healing rework, its suppose to come with a complete healing pass for every class... along with a whisperknife (rogue dps) pass... sadly they probably won't touch the pali tank

Being only just under 59k ilvl, i have to use smite, some are really good dps and can pull aggro, stam regen and 8% reduced damage. Plus continual moving with threat ring from dragon fights. Almost never lose threat except for those immaculate high dps, which is rare, and normally only at the very beginning of a dragon fight, when I'm munched on a couple times in a row. Basically just moving around I gain all the threat

Can you make a video testing the same things for fighter and barbarian? Also the hard taunt stacking your threat - I wonder if a taunt that does 0 damage, like 'come and get it' or 'enforced threat' would still give you the 10% above.

yes, tha "taunt" does not have to deal damage to put you 10% above

Ty. If you take the divinity regeneration feat from blocking DMG, when you are in tab auto-block, draining divinity over time, when you block some DMG you won't gain any divinity back, right?

you do gain divinity back while blocking with tab+block. Better to have the other feat tho for overall divinity regen

Most tanks I see in public dungeons don’t run threat abilities and dps/healers end up dying because of it. That’s why I think they should make tank abilities draw hard aoe or single target aggro, period

@@risennation1239 that's exactly my point. Tanks should grab aggro and stand ground to let the dps do their job. It's so annoying chasing moving enemies. 99% of the time tanks don't know when to stop. They'll have an insurmountable amount of aggro yet keep running around. On a pally 1 single templars wrath hits hard enough to maintain full aggro on mobs to the end. It hits so hard I don't even need to switch for single target. I'm using obsolete gear with trash stats.

Daunting light after a javeling has shortened casting time, but also has the already ridiculous magnitude reduced, I use the combination only for the equilibrium proc for divinity regeneration, but the DMG is only done by the javelin, when crits it does ton of DMG. When Bazaar will discount, I'll provide another loadout slot with the divine glow refilling ability instead, to use only javelin. I find very few builds for that

@@abccba5125 aoe is pretty meh on cleric, but you can make it work. You'll get out damaged by rogues and Wizards easily in aoe. But aoe doesn't matter much

for threat at the beginning, yes. You need to time your threat powers well, to maximize damage with team buffs.
