Ti is basically just "why is that?"..."whats going on here.?" Te is basically "how do i achieve that result"......"I WANT IT DONE NOW!" Ti is basically analysis whereas Te is more result oriented.

Understanding vs Implementation

Your explanation about how Ti can struggle to give the correct answer, but it can immediately show you the wrong ones, as if it has this extra sense of seeing the "holes on the ground". This felt extremely similar to how I've experienced Fi. With Fi I feel this extra sense of just knowing when a certain behaviour of a certain person is wrong, and I can tell them with intense clarity why and how, but it takes me time (sometimes years) to internally analyse and deduce what is the actual correct path that they can take.

Im an INTP. From what i've analysed and gathered. Ti is essentially the engine i use to reach the true logical conclusion, the "truth" of a subject. My Ne helps with seeing the vast number of possibilities. Unfortunately we get easily overwhelmed ussually sensory wise, and our Te nemesis and Se polar function makes us "lazy" in a conventional sense

Another spot-on one. I really felt the “while there’s no conclusion you’ll look stupid. When (and if) there’s a conclusion, suddenly everybody conviniently forgets about how they called you stupid.” Almost left my workfield because of this, all my projects are initially horseshit, until they come together and suddenly everyboy was *totally* on board with them from the get-go. The distinction between protective/creative Ti is a wonderful description for anybody who doesn’t lead with Ti. So was the differences between ISTPs “no abstract BS” vibe vs. INTPs “no evident BS” And so was the painful “on the *social side*, Ti types will try to have an answer to everything.” Ouch. I’d actually would appreciate hearing how other axes approach socializing. I mean, if Ti-Fe basically means you try to figure out how “the social side” works internally… how do other axes do it? Like, what do they do/think when approaching a social situation?

Ti in my opinion is Deducting everything from one universal principle.

That is more of an Ni thing I'd say. Ti is troubleshooting. Ni - According to the info I have, "This" is the one universal pattern/principle. Ti - According to what I think must be true, this other thing can Not be true.

I've identified as ENTJ for 2 years now, and honestly, this reeeally made me doubt my type for the first time. Most of what you described sounds very relatable to me and have wondered if Corporate Life has just sent me into my Jungian Shadow for the past 5 years of my career. On tests, I typically score high of Ni, Ne, Ti, and Te. My Si is the abyss, my Se makes me obsess over beauty, my Fe pisses me off to no end, and my Fi seems to like taking a vacation and writing poems when it gets back to ward off depression. And yes, I'm quite an awful procrastinator.

INTJ here. I'll simplify the Ni vs. Ti distinction via a couple of (relatively well known?) associations. Ni is relatively more centralized, with stronger weltanschauung's/worldviews, but weakly held, more on the ideological/intuitive side, as the theory suggests, Ti is relatively more decentralized, weaker, more fragmented weltanschauung's, but strongly held, obviously more logical than Ni.

This is basically my way of thinking.i trust so much my way of thinking and my innate intuition for truth seeking, that i don't and usually don't recall my step to step process, and its difficult to tediously explain one by one in words in a few minutes what i was thinking for days, weeks or years. But i trust the process was flawless so i feel invalidated and wronged when people doubt me.and the reason is that most of the time people only see or want to see the result of it, the truth seeking part apalls most people for some reason

I love listening to you. Recently I've been reflecting on Ti and what you had to say helped me understand it in greater detail. As far as I can tell my experience with Ti won't give you something you don't know and haven't already talked about, so I'll end it here. (0:01- Glad you could make it, too.)

Hmm, you mention lack of certainty - I think this is usually case in real-world situations because these are oftentimes open, as opposed to closed, systems. Many variables have influence on many others, and it is virtually impossible to take everything into account. However, certainty can be attained in language, which is Ti’s native habitat as far as I can tell. Whether an argument is legitimate, or a conclusion necessarily follows, or a definition properly serves its use, are things that can be known objectively and certainly, in any meaningful definitions of those two adverbs. You also seem to allude to the fact that Ti is primarily negationary (8:46 onw). It’s harder to build a stable building than an unstable one; for an argument to be valid, all components must be too. So one could say that it is a computational reality that checking for the wrongness is easier than checking for correctness because correctness entails ‘no wrongness’ on all occasions.

I think your definition of Ti involves too much Ni, that strong intuition you think you have about what's wrong is not Ti man. If you're INTP, then your demonstrative Ni is very active. It's just undervalued and it's just as strong as your Ti. These shadow /back stack functions cause a lot of issues for people, especially the demonstrative/ critic one. It causes people to confuse ENTPs with ENTJs a lot, just like INTPs with INTJs. Maybe? just maybe? idk if you accounted for that but yea. I guess a good test would be to investigate STPs Im sure you know of dimensionality and are aware of its descriptive truthfulness. INTP's Ni is 4d just like their dominant Ti function. And it's not sleeping either, it's very active, it just manifests differently because it's not valued inside of your conscious calcuous. Infact you even attribute it to your Ti like you did here. Here's a good video from Jack on the matter but I'm sure you as I knew of this yet overlooked it? kzbin.info/www/bejne/qmHMfHR4bMeCadk&ab_channel=WorldSocionicsSociety

If that "strong intuition" about what's wrong truly was Ni, them you would also see other symptoms of Ni as well, such as feeling of "darkness" or a peculiar dimming affect whenever sensation (of light) falls into the background as Ni rises to the foreground even if only somewhat. Or feeling of numbness to the environment as ones Parent function falls further from consciousness. These are only two examples, but I think you get the idea. However, in the situation he described, you don't see any other signs of Ni like the ones I described, so, I doubt Skimmerlit san is wrong here. Also, keep in mind that not all intuition is either Ne or Ni. These two variants of it.
