Thanks for the clear explanation on how to charge the A/C. I am recharging a Nissan Titan and the steps are the same!!

@@How2Helen Except for their gas consumption! Lol! Still, if you can justify its use, its a great vehicle especially when towing.

@@barthchris1 just want to add: Amazon also sells the Ac refill and free shipping also. We use ours for road trips on weekends. Ours is just the 2wd so its a bit better on gas. Even with the gas consumption, it is a great vehicle, and has better amenities than other comparable trucks. Coming soon are more videos for this truck regarding the rear airshocks, air shock level replacements and auto rear hatch fix. We just need to time to finish all helping other people with their cars first. Anyway, I hope our future videos can help you and other Armada owners out there. @@How2Helen subscribed! Only problem I had so far is the lift gate handle breaking. I went to one of the biggest junkyards on the east coast, couldn’t find a match. So I epoxied it together. Lol! Works, just looks like crap.

@@barthchris1 lol. Ebay is your friend. If you saw the older videos we have, we bought parts on Ebay. Some would even verify that it fits your truck as every year/model is not the same. Lots of junk yard post their stuff on ebay. Also car-part.com (or something like that). They have an app where junkyards share the parts they have available. They even list it by city/state and distance. Hope that helps. Thanks again-Rjeff H2H

Good short video. 2011 Armada was blowing warm air. Figured it was a slow Freon leak from seals shrinking during the winter. Watched your video to find the low side port. I kinda winged it because I was too cheap to buy a can with a gauge. Lol! A can of 134A is super expensive right now, $40 for the small can without a gauge! With the gauge it was $69! Guess it’s that time of year. Anyway, blowing cold air now. Thanks!

I am glad our video was able to help you. This is why we make our videos, to help others. $40 for a small can? Wow, that is almost double the price from last year! Imagine if you have to go to an ac shop to get the ac charged. Probably around $180 now. Everything is so expensive now. Thanks you for watching and we appreciate the feedback! -Rjeff H2H

@@How2Helen Yeah, this was at a Advanced Auto, everything is ridiculously priced right now. It’s not going to be sustainable, especially since wages aren’t keeping up. I agree, bringing it into a shop would have hurt.

@@barthchris1 Lol. Here is a quick tip: Always check Walmart for car stuff. I just checked right now, Small can(12oz) is $25.97 and Big can with gauge(20)oz is $36.97. I just bought a starter from them, radiator and some coolant, shipped for free! You learn something different everyday, Lol. Hope that info helps in the future - Rjeff H2H

@@How2Helen Ha! Thanks! I was going to add in my comment that I could probably get it cheaper from Walmart Lol! Unfortunately, Im in Washington DC, there is NO Walmarts in the city. I bought the Freon from advanced auto. Guess they kinda know people like me will pay the ridiculous price. Still, next time Im out in the burbs I’m going to swing by to pick up another can with the gauge. I’m pretty sure I could use a little more Freon, not blowing as cold as it should. I won’t add anymore without a gauge as I’m worried about overcharging. Years ago I overcharged and blew the compressor for a Caravans AC. NOT going down that road again!

The line with the green cap you pointed out is the evaporator service port, not related to the A/C . The high side pressure line is right beside the coolant overflow reservoir.

One point to note is the fitting from the r134a refrigerant can is pressed into the low pressure valve and not screwed on. Because of the way it spun I originally thought it wasn't fitting and I had the wrong refrigerant.

$250! Even though it's a lot of money I'm surprised they didn't want more. Its almost criminal that they charge that much. Its good you took the leap to DIY. I hope more people do as you.

I have Nissan Armada 2007 SE, AC coming cold if running, but when you stop, you will not feel the cooling of ac, what’s wrong my armada?
@How2Helen3 ай бұрын
Hello. Your armada’s fan has a low speed and high speed relay. When your engine is still cold, and you turn on your ac, check if your fan turns on. Low speed fan should turn on when compressor engages. If it does not, start with you relay, then wiring to the fan. Hope that helps. Thank you for watching! -Rjeff H2H

What should you do if it's freezing cold outside and your 2010 is blowing cold air? Would it all be the same?
@How2Helen Жыл бұрын
@@FadeNXC2 Hello. No, you would need to check the heater valve. If you are handy, you can dis assemble it yourself. Or replace the whole valve. Try this first(You might get lucky): Turn the engine on. Then put the temp on full cold. Then after 30 second, turn the temp to max hot. If the valve corrected itself, you should have hot air coming out. But if not, link below on how to fix the valve itself. Hope to helps. - Rjeff H2H kzbin.info/www/bejne/hauuh2yeZc5me68
