Normally I don’t watch these type of videos because I very rarely would do this type of thing, but I figured what the heck I just might learn something new. And I did‼️ The bug deflector I think are a good idea, makes it a little harder to clean the hood but not a big deal. The lights look nice, but man I hate it when people use them all the time. Same with fog lights. It’s like having high beams on‼️ Enjoyed the video 😁👍✌️

Thanks! Glad that you learned something. Big deflectors are great to have but yes a paint to clean under. These lights wouldn’t be to bright for oncoming traffic.

Bug shield and lights look good 👍👍. I ordered mine for custom auto works in up state N Y. They are plug an play 89$ had the 4 light set-up. Had to pull the grill on count of the STX special edition grille otherwise it was a snap.

Great video Fab! On a related topic, can you do one on how to ‘revive’ the clarity/shine on older bug deflectors? I’ve used Flitz polish and a soft cloth wheel on a drill to a limited extent. There may be better ways that I’m sure you know. Please share. There are still lots of older bug deflectors out there.

hello, good job FAb. the deflector gives a great look, but it is not only aesthetic, if you add for example a canopy on the hood with 3M adhesive (which will be purely aesthetic), the deflector will be a protection against the wind, which will tend to took off the awning. I had both on Amarok, when I removed the deflector for a rotten and compulsory technical control that we have here in Belgium, 3 weeks later my awning almost flew off on the motorway! only drawback: when you want to clean, it's a bit tedious.

Scotch loks are junk. I would never use them especially on a newer vehicle. I get that they are easy but aside from reliability issues it gives ford a warranty out if you have electrical or computer problems in the future.
