How to 3D Scan a Location for Cine Tracer

In this video we use an iOS app called PolyCam to 3D scan a real world location. We then prep that 3D scan in Blender and import it to be used in Cine Tracer.
This is one of the fastest ways to to get a scale accurate model of a real world location into Cine Tracer..

Use a DSLR and Reality Capture for the photogrammetry. High end would be to also use a LIDAR scanner.

I really hate how all these LiDAR apps cannot get a high quality scan without the textures looking all wrinkly. Aside from that, good work but we are all limited to LiDAR technology being in its infancy.

The next setup in quality is using a DSLR with Reality Capture and if you do it well with a tripod you’ll get better results. Next step up is a Leica BLK360 + DSLR in Reality Capture.

Anybody got the same problem? If I load the file into cinetracer, it has no texture... File is saved right next to the obj and textures and was never moved or so.
