Fantastic, thank you!! Just wondering, with the acetone method, is the ink permanent, i.e. if I change my mind about a design can I change it? I understand the ink is invisible if burnt over, but if not, is there a way to get rid of it? Thanks!!
@KizartStudio Жыл бұрын
Hi, thanks for your comment. I don't know, I haven't tried it, maybe if you sand it down. You can try it on a sample to see if it is feasible.

Thanks for the video it’s been a great help, can I reuse Carbon graphite paper over and over again or is it single use ? Thanks again
@KizartStudio3 жыл бұрын
Sorry for the late response. Yes, you can use it multiple times, as long as it leaves a trace. :) Thanks for watching!

That is some awesome tips! I was wondering about the acetone method. Is it safe to burn over ink? Is the ink visible over the finished picture? If so how do you remove it?
@KizartStudio4 жыл бұрын
You should wear a mask because of the smoke, this method is good for letters and line drawings and the ink is not visible when burning over.

Can nail polish remover be counted as acetone?
@missyidontgiveacrap99394 жыл бұрын
Here I am a month later, and the answer is yes. I tried it and it worked just as well.
@KizartStudio4 жыл бұрын
It needs to have acetone in its ingredients. Usually, nail polish remover is without acetone, 'cus it not so good for the nails.
@missyidontgiveacrap99394 жыл бұрын
@@KizartStudio My nail polish remover I used is with acetone. Non acetone nail polish remover are for those who have fake nails. But since I have natural nails, acetone is ok on it.

About the acetone method, does it work on terracotta? Or just wood?
@KizartStudio4 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure, but this method is applicable to polymer clay. Try it and see if it works.

Does the acetone method work with an inkjet printer?
@KizartStudio4 жыл бұрын
You must use a laser printer. Inkjet printer ink may bleed too much.

Have you ever tried a thermal printer? If so, what’s best way to do it?
@KizartStudio Жыл бұрын
Hi, I haven't tried it. I do not own a thermal printer. If you have a thermal printer, try it and see if it works. And write an additional method in the comments :)

Nice hacks! Here´s another one: Copy your design (maybe reduced to outlines) on your home office ink-jet printer (adapted right size) on simple overhead foil! Use brownish, wooden-like colortones for the print, so it will merge invisivble with you pyro then. Now carefully transfer to the right position of your wood, let it come down, don't move it anymore. Hold secure, or tape the edges for larger motives, and use some kind of plasic spatula or plastic (old credit-) card to transfer the sketch by "brushing over" with medium pressure, section by section. Now have your sketch on the wood! ...Foil can be cleaned afterwards and used several times. Have fun ;)

So what am I doing wrong? I used the Acetone method, and it was just not transferring everything only the really dark spots of my print. Does the type of acetone matter? I’m using industrial pure acetone. With normal paper and a laser printer. Maybe not enough acetone? Help.. 😂
@KizartStudio3 жыл бұрын
Take a piece of wood, preferably a smooth surface, (sanded). Soak a cloth in acetone and try different amounts of acetone, it is not good when it is too much or when it is too little. Press a little harder, rub and see the result.
