A temporary Fix for an airbag Light on a 2005 BMW Z4
Due to over-engineering, the BMW vehicles are very sensitive.
We believe that this car hit a hard bump, that detonated the Intelligent Battery Safety (IBS) System. And that small module is expensive to fix, and may even prevent your car from starting.
Plus of course the airbag light is on.
So we created a temporary fix for the airbag light, so you don't have to see the light all the time. We do recommend fixing the car properly, as having this error code might cause your airbag not to deploy in an event of a collision.

Very informative video, I also have a Creator C310 Scanner and need to reset my Airbag light after changing my front window regulator on my 2001 BMW E39, and disconnected the battery before disconnecting the airbag and reinstalling it. Where is German Auto Recycling located at, can you add it to your video details or pin it in the comment section?

are you removing the resistor and re installing the plugin i assume after reset? My C+310 does not detect the code, nor will it reset it. 2004 Z4 2.5

Hello. I have to keep the resistor on after I reset the airbag to keep the airbag light off. On my situation, I need a new battery safety assembly if I want to remove the resistor and keep the airbag off. In your case, you might have a different issue. Scroll around on you scanner, it might be something else triggering it. Hope that helps -Rjeff H2H

got resistors today, ran code, same as yours, Pillar A 98F8, was worth a shot, but did not clear my pesky lil light, i will just live with it i guess,lol.@@How2Helen

@@briandavis8940 Hello. I know it might be silly to ask, but make sure the contact on the wiring harness and the resistor is good. It took me a few tries before I got the contact with the resistor was properly (Don't believe my video that I did it in 1 shot, LOL. I had to reseat the resistor a couple of times, maybe 5 or 6.). Also, just want to make sure you reset the light with a scanner. It will not go away automatically. Let me know if that helps. Keep me posted! - Rjeff H2H

Hello. Do you have the full error code message? If it says “resistance firing circuit..”, this process should be able to help. If it says “belt tensioner, rear right..”, it might be your passenger belt tensioner disconnected or the belt charge has fired.
