Already since this video, the developers have added the ability to test individual widgets, plus to be able to pick your conversion tracking page from a dropdown. Probably even more by the time you see this comment.

That was a really great video. I learned a heap. Thanks for taking the time to share your insight and even how to utilise it in Elementor. Three years later, the plugin has moved a bit and it is great knowing that it is still around. Oh and yes. Divi is complete bloatware.

Looks very promising and much simpler than many other methods. Is it possible for a conversion to equal clicking on a link that goes to a separate site? For example, the user clicks "Make Appointment" and a scheduling app opens (that's not part of the original Elementor site.) I guess I'm wondering if that link can be marked as the conversion (rather than a separate page?)
@DaveFoy6 жыл бұрын
Hey Michele. Yes that'd be a nice feature. I've mentioned to the developers already that it'd be good to be able to place a bit of javascript on an external page, and have that as the conversion target. They have it on their radar, but apparently there are some limitations in the Elementor API they need to work around first.

Great video. Excited to see this as an addon. BTW, what popup do you use for your forms. I used popup maker, and i couldn't get it to look right on mobile device (both android and iphone). It was always to small, etc. Do you have a workaround, or could you do a video on how to make a nice landing page with popups that look great on mobile?
@DaveFoy6 жыл бұрын
Yeah I use Popup Maker. I've not had any problem on mobile. I have mine set to 60% width, max width 700px. It then just switches to 100% width on smaller screens, automatically. I'll definitely be making a video on this soon.

@dynamico19816 жыл бұрын
Design Build Web Yes...I mean elementor is a great tool. Your tutorials are great, but most ppl didn’t want to pay for leadpages and clickfunnels. So...what if marketers had a course dedicated to making similar looking pages via elementor.
@DaveFoy6 жыл бұрын
Yep, that's part of the course I have here: www.nofearfunnels.co/. I could make some free vids on KZbin too. I've noted the idea. Thanks..

Going thru your inventory of youtube video's, it appears you've only got 1 video dedicated to building landing pages - dated April 13, 2017 kzbin.info/www/bejne/morNiYWghdp-rtE A series on building various Landing/Funnel Pages would probably bring you alot of new viewers, imo.

Hello Dave, how the plugin knows the difference between two colors button? Do I have to name it before, and where? Tks.
@DaveFoy6 жыл бұрын
Hey! The plugin itself doesn't care what you're testing really. It only cares what names you give each variation, and then which section you assign those to. So where I set the test name (Button Colour) and the variation names (Red Button and Green Button). That's where you name them.

Hey guys. The Split Test For Elementor By Rocket Elements is not kept up to date and it screwed up my site by scrambling all urls. The effect was any attempt to go to any url on my site got a blank page because the url was scrambled. Spent hours befor I found this culprit.
@DaveFoy5 жыл бұрын
Urgh, really? I know it hadn't been updated in a while but then I noticed it HAD been updated recently, according to the WordPress plugin repo anyway. Sorry you had this problem. Did you contact their support? I'd recommend looking into splithero.com. I'll do a video on it when I get time.

Hi Dave, you explain stuff well. So can you consider making a simple, non-daunting, easy-to-follow tutorial on how to edit text and graphics in an Elementor website using the Editor 'Access to edit content only' back-end user login. So website designers can give a link to your tutorial and tell their non-techie clients "If you ever want to change the text or an image on your website, here's a tutorial to show you how to log in and make those changes".
@Website-Developer6 жыл бұрын
How well does it work with the Astra theme

Your theme has no bearing on this plugin at all. It's all in Elementor.

I've tried this plugin twice. The first time it gave a fatal error on installation. They've fixed that, but now I can't get it to save a Split Test either when entered in the menu, or when entered while adding it to a section. I think it's not quite ready.

This does look like a very useful tool. However I I’ll disagree with you in that I would welcome Elementor adding this to their package. It’s always better to have a feature built into the core. Although right now Elementor has higher priorities than A/B testing. But I also agree with you on bloating. That’s one of the things I like that some plugins allow you to turn some of their features on and off in the settings. I hope at some point Elementor will take that approach themselves.
@DaveFoy6 жыл бұрын
I hear you. My worry with adding marketing features like this is - where does it end? Heat tracking like Hotjar? Dedicated lead capture like Optinmonster? Personally, I'd like Elementor to remain a design/build tool, and keep marketing tools separate, to do their job properly. The ability to turn features off would be great. But they'd still need to develop and maintain it, along with the rest of the plugin's features. They're already clearly a little stretched (as you rightly say). ;)
@rocketgrowthstrategiesdigi45356 жыл бұрын
Design Build Web yeah, I just am not a fan that these developers build a plugin with a feature you want, but then you get 10 you don’t. So you end up with twenty different sliders that do pretty much if not exactly the same thing bloating the widget panel. So then Elementor has to take time away from core development to build ways to collapse widget panels and sort them. And even that doesn’t address the real issue of bloating the site with all these unused features within all these plugins.
