I've been delaying moving photos from my old Macbook Pro hard drive to my new Mac library for about two years because I was so scared I would ruin the photos or because I thought it couldn't be done and the photos were lost forever. Thanks to your step-by-step tutorial of going through the Photos App ->Show Package Contents >Originals/Masters, I listened to your advice and was able to save THOUSANDS of my pictures and videos that I thought could maybe be lost FOREVER. Thanks for the information. I am having a problem with my library saying it is corrupt or being moved. I am able to open up the library for a moment but then the error message pops up.

Problem is inside originals folder, the name of files and folder structure is messed up. It would be very difficult to find a file if you don't use Photos app. Any solution to that?

So, in the Originals folder, I just see the folders for images 0 through 9 and A through F. Where are the folders for the original pictures listed G through Z?

So I imported the photos from the corrupt library to a new one, but the new library doesn't recognize that photos on my iPhone have already been imported. It think all the photos on my iPhone is a new batch, and I only want to import the new photos on the phone not everything thats already in the library. Why doesn't the library recognize the already imported photos?

Because during the original import the images get renamed with a new file name. Thus the program doesnt see them as exact duplicates.

Hi, I have pics from Canon camera and they are from china but shot with Amsterdam timezone. I imported them in Photos but to get them out is hard. If I export it changes 'time created' to that moment. Also it doubled in size all of them. To conclude: how can I adjust time and date in a batch in finder, or ANYTHING else than Photos or how can I export from Photos keeping adjusted time created PLUS same size and names ? I used an app. And it is painful
