Thank you a million times over. I erroneously "trashed" some photos and in the process of restoring them, somehow transferred them into a secure folder. Didn't know where they went. I was kicking myself all day until I found your video...and there were my photos sitting nicely in the secured folder!!! Now to do a proper backup.

Once moved you will get an app icon for secure folder click on that once it pops open like it wants you to add more crap to it's dark hole dont do it just go to the search icon and search gallery or whatever app you were in documents etc and mine popped up immediately. Useful video thanks. I'm trying to work out how to protect photos and videos on my SD card so that they can't be deleted accidentally by e.g. a Google Photos synch. I'm wondering if this Secure Folder is the answer? Can the Secure Folder be stored on the SD card, or can it only reside in the internal phone memory?

In your swipe down menu, there is a button that allows you to activate or deactivate the secure folder. If you don't see it in the menu, then you can add it by selecting the button layout. Access this via the three dots next to the power icon. Hope this helps.

You have to access this files to do that you have to search secure folder in your search bar and when you click on gallery you will find all the photos you have hidden

I notice you added a app to the secure folder, then said that it was still available amongst the apps outside the secure folder, if this is the case then that app you put into the secure folder is not secure if it still can be accessed in the apps screen outside the secure folder. I did the same, put a folder and app in the secure folder, but found it was still available to access outside of it, pointless really , as it does not secure anything !

Well that sounds like you're setting it up for the first time what if it's not working and I change the password which changes my Samsung account but doesn't work in the secure folder and I don't see it anywhere connected to my Samsung account
