Merlin vs Straico? Which do you think is the better tool?

They have pretty different features. Merlin is primarily a Chrome extension that you can summon anywhere you browse the web for quick access. Straico is more similar to chatgpt where you mainly log in to use the AI chat. I really like how you can compare all of the AI models at once as it runs the prompt.

its features are similar to perplexity ai, except its chrome extension, so why do I need to pay for it as perplexity ai can be used for free?

In terms of raw output, both are arguably similar, but Merlin can be used on any website. You do not need to open a new tab to use Merlin. That alone makes this tool very helpful in your day-to-day activities.
