I'm not sure if this applies to everyone, but I personally find it helpful to make images very vivid if I want to remember them. For example, instead of thinking of a helium balloon when wanting to remember the element helium, I'd think of a little girl being really upset when she accidentally let's go if her balloon and it floats away. The more crazy the image, the more it will stick in my mind :)

So I am an accounting major. I’m not the best scorer on the exams in my class but I do pretty well on them and from my experience I like to do this. Usually at the end is the hand written response do those first because you probably went over those harder problems not to far away from the exam start time. After that I go back and start from the beginning. If I hey stuck for about two questions in a row I go to the very end of the multiple choice questions and do it in reverse order until I either find something that helps with those stuck questions, I get back to those stuck questions, or get stuck again. From there I bounce back to the ones I was stuck on and do some educated guessing. I’m not sure why but this tends to help my mind out the most and I think it is because it allows me to jump from one part I don’t know to another part I do which either gives my mind time to work on remembering what to do or connects me to another part of the subject I studied at a similar time and hopefully spark a connection.

I have a question... Can I use the same memory palace (the one I made from the objects and rooms of specifically in my house) to memorize different lists of things? Like door-cat, window-dog, computer-mouse... and then some other day I go door-3 eggs, window-nuclear powered turtle, computer-normal turtle. Can I remember a lot of different lists of things with the same memory palace, if it's about things I want to learn LONG term?
