Praying the wait for an interview is going to be as short as yours. This year they’re saying 1-2 months 😭😩 PLUS Covid. I’m just ugh I hate surprised I hate not knowing stuff. Not that I’m impatient my anxiety is just so bad and I’m so nervous about getting in or not. Plus my friends also applied and I’m so worried for them too. Hey! I just came across your channel cause I'm also interested in teaching in japan but my country is not in the list of the participating countries of the jet program, do you know if that list is absolute or if it matters at all??

Might be late to reply to this, but if your country is not listed then I believe that means that the Japanese Embassy in your country does not offer the JET Programme. If I was you, I will email the Japanese Embassy in your country for information regarding this. If your country does not offer it, there are other programs I have heard about that lets you teach in Japan.

You can definitely know Japanese! There are several ALT's here who are almost fluent in Japanese!
