I have 18 students. Can we use this beyond 10 students connected at the same time?

Does SourceConnect allow you to speak while the student is playing without his audio cutting out?
@SouthShorePianoSchool4 жыл бұрын
I believe so (at least, much better than Zoom!). I think one thing that is helpful with this platform is that each speaker has their own "channel." I will put that to the test!

Wonderful! What a difference. I can't wait to try this with all my students. Thanks Jonathan.

I am still thinking about this - maybe using it with a few students to begin with.....

You'll get significantly better sound on Zoom if you enable Original Sound. But bypassing Zoom altogether does seem like a good idea. Thanks.

Thank you! Believe it or not, Original Sound was enabled in this Zoom example lol. I have found that tweaking the Zoom settings for original sound and not automatically adjusting the input volume helps, but there are still these dips and muffles in the sound.

@@SouthShorePianoSchool Normally there is a visible button on the screen when original sound is enabled. Of course, we can't see the student's screen, so maybe he's got it on. But it doesn't appear on your screen. Thanks for pointing us to this resource, though. It is very promising.

What piece was your student playing? So do you have to send an email invite prior to every lesson?
@SouthShorePianoSchool4 жыл бұрын
Happy Time Jazz, Martha Mier! Yes, you would have to send an email invite...or, I suppose if you stayed in the same "audio room," you could theoretically send that invite to everyone at the beginning of the day, long as you never have more than the number of people you specified as the max when setting it up.

Thank you! I’m going to try this! Another tip: I’ve found that blue blocker glasses have helped my eyes from fatigue! So many screens to look at!

Thanks for sharing! I have been meaning to look into this. Do you have a specific brand you recommend?
@elsaserion30374 жыл бұрын
You’re welcome! I got them from Amazon. It’s plastic, but it works. I’m looking for one made of glass. Here’s a question: how do you help students to help their audio? I find that the audio of my students farther away from me is garbled.

Thanks so much! How do we connect this sound to Zoom? Or is the sound just there?
@SouthShorePianoSchool4 жыл бұрын
FayeSmithPianoStudio You are very welcome! It will not connect directly to Zoom, the sound will just be there long as you have the page open in Chrome on your computer. Please don’t hesitate with any further questions. Thanks for watching, and please subscribe to our channel if you haven’t already! 😃
