My plan is to start a non profit property development company that creates dense affordable mixed use properties and sells/rents units at cost. Anyone have ideas on how I might best go about this? I’m having trouble finding resources when it hasn’t been done before to my knowledge.

You might want to look into starting a land bank. “Land banks are public authorities or non-profit organizations created to acquire, hold, manage, and sometimes redevelop property in order to return these properties to productive use to meet community goals, such as increasing affordable housing or stabilizing property values.” There might already be one located in the municipality where you live, so check with your city, county, or even regional government. You can also just create a nonprofit to address your area. That’s what I am working on as well.

I have just started a community interest company in England Uk which will involve me helping people with mental health issues and we really need some funding so I can get my own office etc. Is there anyone that could help ?
