Ammo Crate - Ammo Crates now have a shared supply cooldown between other deployed ammo crates. - Ammo & Medic Crates will now have a recharge time of 16 seconds, down from 30. - Ammo Crates will now supply every 15, instead of 20 seconds. - Ammo Crates now give an extra magazine to both primary and secondary weapons. Dev Comment: We have made these changes for a couple reasons, one being that we want to reduce instances where players are instantly gaining masses of supplies from multiple crates in a short period of time. The second being that we've heard your feedback about crate cooldowns being too long, with the aforementioned change this allows us to lower this without breaking game balance.

I'm usually playing Falck with ammo crate and smokes. Ammo crate means infinite smokes, and since Falck has the ability to heal without the medic crate or pouches it's a great combo to be able to give ammo and health, as well as being able to heal yourself. If I get shot by someone I'll hide, heal quiick, and reengage and usually people are taken off guard by the fact that I'm now full health again. Infinite smokes is really useful for closing the gap on campers. Like you see a sniper you just throw one smoke, run, drop ammo crate, throw second smoke, run, throw third smoke, drop ammo crate, and you'll be able to close a gap of like 150-200m that way. Also if I'm taking fire I'll do the old batman trick and throw smokes at my feet and run to cover. With this setup I'm consistently top 5, because it turns out no one seems to ever run ammo crate. So even if I'm not leading on kills or revives, I'm 99.999% of the time leading on resupply, and it's easy to rack up points that way.

This man has figured it out :) Smokes are the absolute best in the game. Lately, I've been playing a lot of Irish because his kit pairs nicely with vehicles, which I play with frequently. Of course, with Ammo crate and smokes as well! Thanks for commenting!

Tip: If you are the only support in your group don’t be the first to rush into a crowded room of enemies. First one through the door generally dies and if it is the medic then revives are slower and it can stall the push or cause a total loss of momentum.

Good call! You can definitely help bring back failed pushes, but you can't if you are the first to die.

This isn't really a tip but when I'm playing support I pay attention to which of my teammates are having the most impact and give them priority as well as players who are being the most helpful with heals revives and ammo. I won't refuse to revive that player who you revived but then later watched you bleed out whilst they camped in a corner doing nothing, but you can be damn sure they'll be the last on the revive list. Final note, don't spam the "revive me" if there is an enemy watching you! Instead spam the spot button on that enemy and if a support player ignores that it's their own fault

I agree, if you know you can't be revived safely then you should let go, but if you see that the support coming for you has smokes and has popped on, might as well wait to see what happens! One thing to know about the spot, when you are down you can only 'Ping' a location, these pings can only be seen by your squad, so if your savior isn't in your squad they won't see your warning. Took the advice from this vid and played a few rounds of breakthrough. On my first game I played falck with SFAR-M GL with smokes, ammo crate, and smoke grenades. My first game, I joined at the end of the match and my team had gotten pushed all the way back to the final objective on redacted. We were trying to hold the line against the enemy with like 300 tickets. I was pretty sure we were gonna lose, but we didn’t. I used my excessive amount of smokes to smoke off the enemies side of the 3 hallways, and I used my ammo to keep everyone topped up. We had a decent number of support players and I’m pretty sure people started to pick up on the fact that I was keeping the hallways constantly smoked off. Main problem before the smokes went down was that the enemy team could hold lines of sight through the hallways and kill anyone trying to move around, and when people entered the objective, they knew where we were. By smoking off the hallways, people couldn’t get picked off through the hallways, and when the enemy rushed the objective, they were at a major disadvantage. We had a few close calls, especially to grenade spam, but we managed to hold the line long enough to deplete their entire reserve and win the game. Without supports it wouldn’t have been possible, the amount of revives, cover, APS, and resupplies going on, the game would have been a wash without supports. Great video! I love the advice and I’m sure this is gonna help me play better

Very good video. There is also a good trick to minimise the revive animation on the defrib, just press double E fast. I remember i played a lot of Angel at first when you had the option to also pack everything from stingers to M5 and even soflams and used to wreck havoc on choppers and tanks. Oh, those were the days. After they patched that minor error which made Angel invincible, i stopped playing it so much but i did achieved mastery on him by calling out many supply crates. Also one other good thing with Angel in the beggining was that he practically handed out armour to everybody including himself which made him a beast. But that armour is very precious to assault players in your squad so one Angel guy can be really precious to a squad of assaults and engineers by granting them basically unlimited armour and rockets

Angel tip: you can consume small health and ammo pieces by yourself. Just hold "4" or "3" button. Small health piece heals exactly like health crate but have 3 charges (and you can heal yourself while run).

I was running Falck all the time if doing support. But since I´m also a bit of a XP grinder also I feel like Angel with medi crate is the thing for me. Supply on every revive and any low health is welcome to get the meds. And with the update with the ammo crates tomorrow, I think it will be even more supply when doing a revive :)

I think Angel's who use their loadout crate are way more appreciated on the battlefield compared to Falck. The problem is so few players use it and know how to deploy it. As a frequent engineer I love finding a player dropping those crates because it means I can spam my rockets at armour and tear through enemy tanks :) Thanks for being that player!

Medi-crate is also nice to drop for a Crawford on his minigun to help keep him topped while he's emplaced. Medi-crate is also just generally excellent in Breakthrough-type sequential modes to help strongpoint your team, since most people choose the ammo box.

They really have to do something about Falck, her self heals are simply too strong and if you pair her with the ammo crate, she basically becomes a better Angel with infinite med pens and instant revives

She is probably the best specialist in the game in my opinion. Her revive speed is crazy fast too. I prefer to pair Angel when my squad has more engineers so I can keep them fully stocked up!

you forgot to include Zain's XM in the "can't protect you" from Irish sentinels. the amount of people here in yt & reddit that keeps saying "you ARE protected from it" or "nah, the aps timer just went off" is beyond frustrating they nerfed irish's aps, they nerfed ALL anti-air, they basically stipped the LATV of everything, and yet the devs still denies that air vehicles are OP because the loudest crybabies are the pilots themselves so they cater to them. that or the devs themselves are air vehicle fanatics so they protect their babies by NERFING EVERYTHING that isn't an air vehicle thank you for coming to my ted talk rant

Ah! You are right, sorry I missed this. Thanks for pointing it out! It's so rare to see on conquest, which is what I mainly play that I forgot about it! The 20mm flak on those LATVs are very strong (albeit it a little janky), once Dice adds them back into the game, they are a pretty good tool for dealing with choppers!

I think support's revive is way too quick. the class should be renamed to Necromancer the amount of players they can rez. It's also really overrepresented on the scoreboard vs poor old Engineers. You didn't see him serve me a cup of tea earlier. Some of those bags were petty bags xD I know, I felt like John Wick, it felt so clean. Angel is the best with a squad of Engineers. Provided that they are willing to wait for his drop to come in. It is very fast, especially Falck's. But I think this is because Dice want people reviving since it is so critical to the teamwork of BF. If they made it less desirable to do then it might discourage players from doing it, which would be bad in my opinion. I just think vehicle kills should be represented more to make up for this. the support class has always been my most played since bf3, because ammo. for 2042 though, lcmg, sfar, & svk have been my go to because they have the AP underbarrel. depending on my mood, i either go for a smoke or emp grenade, as a full sweat reviving machine or ground vehicle abuse stopper respectively rarely do i go for the heal crate, that also goes the same for falck, unless i'm really really going full sweat PTFO time. Irish + aps + ammo crate = home sweet home time

Smoke Grenades and Ammo Box were my first equipment T1's! Irish+Ammo is my personal favorite support (and the go-to support of my friends and I) due to the absolutely incredible gadget he has. For any aspiring Support players, I highly recommend fully unlocking the SFAR-M GL assault rifle, and consider it the "Heavy Support" weapon of choice. Not only is it the highest damage-per-bullet AR available, it has access to a High-Power Drum Magazine, which means you actually _can_ secure the area before administering rescue aid. Further, it has access to the 40mm Underbarrel Smoke, 40mm HE, 40mm Incendiary, and 40mm AP grenades, which GUARANTEES that you have everything you need for nearly any rescue scenario. I personally run mine with 40mm Smoke (rescue concealment), 40mm Incendiary (deal with Dozers, and other Area Denial necessities for rescue), and 40mm AP (devastating against light skin vehicles, and more than enough to put enemy armor into a retreat, if not destruction). My friend also heavily relies on the SFAR's single-fire mode with a big scope in the Plus menu swap to counter-snipe when necessary. He has his Irish+SFAR combo down to a brilliant, vicious science.

The weapons with the AP underbarrel grenade launchers are pretty much the only weapons I won't equip on other classes other than engineer. Not because they are bad, but because I get so sick of them when playing as engineer xD I need a break from them. I hadn't played too much of Irish until I came to making this, but I really enjoy him. His APS sentinel is naturally just great, but the deployable wall is also really underrated and saves me all of the time! I do feel like not too many people use the underbarrel grenade launchers. You cannot swap teams. You can now swap squads, but I think they don't let you swap teams in order to prevent what you want. My biggest peeve in this game is when you join a game with a team with only 10 tickets left against an enemy with hundreds of tickets left... At some point Dice should make it so it doesn't add new players to a game that is practically concluded.

I tend to run support with the M416, just because it's my main weapon in BF4 and it performs similarly enough in 2042 Everything you said about support is spot on though, and support is the best class to experiment with different weapons since their weapon proficiency bonus rarely matters, as long as it helps you reviving others

It's an absolute classic. I use it often but lately it's been feeling a little different, maybe they ghost tweeked it, or maybe I'm just getting unlucky, but it feels weaker to me. You can literally be the best worst player on the team if you just focus on reviving people, it's great :)

@@marzipandan767 the M416 is weaker in 2042 simply because of the lack of Heavy Barrel attachment In BF3/BF4, M416 with HB can consistently kill people upwards to 100m with bursting, but in 2042 the spread caps it potential Also, it used to have 18 damage, the same as submachine guns which made it the worst vault weapon until DICE fixed it to 23 damage, making it actually usable, but still cant compare to BF4's M416 where its arguably the best all around AR

Thanks! It depends right, because Dice absolutely want you to be reviving your teammates since it is a massive part of team play. If they make it a chore, then players might just stop all together. They are definitely strong, which is why you should prioritize downing supports first if possible.

I didn't know an ammo drop replenishes smoke grenades. I wondered why my ammo boxes didn't. Good show. Don't forget the third use for ammo drop, which is to provide temporary cover. Great for dropping on rooves and rocks to allow you some cover while firing.

I main Angel, there are so many Falck players out there triple ammo is the way to go. Sometimes you need ammo fast because that tank thinks the guys in your area are dry and there is no danger. Drop that small ammo box and then call in the crate. The engineers get a rocket to shoot at the tank then a few seconds later the crate hits the ground and then the tank goes running. I have tried running with the med crate and find that I don't like it as much. You can also cover two different areas of a front with the crate and small ammo box. I think the thing I struggled with most was the main weapon to choose. I am not a fan of SMGs and like the LMGs like the support class use to get in previous battlefields. I recommend the RPT with short barrel and standard ammo. It shreds players from long distance and short. Also, don't be afraid to melt Iris shields with it.

I definitely like the ammo crate more than the med crate. It is exactly how you describe; it is more in demand. Especially since the update to health regen times, which lead to healing becoming less relevant. I too love the RPT, it's such an accurate LMG.

Only 1. As soon as you request one the previous one will disappear. But it recharges as soon as the crate lands so definitely use them often. Better to move them to the frontlines than to have them sitting at a point at the back of the map :) Hope this helps!

I will say they Nerfed him quite a bit a while back, so now his APS system only really intercepts grenades and other similar projectiles. For example, rocket shots now pass through it safely, which means he's not as useful in protecting vehicles.

My only thing to add is try your best to throw smoke at enemy positions when attempting a revive because throwing it at a body when you’re holding a position will just conceal enemy movement and ruin your teams line of sight. Throwing it at them forces them to move out of their cover or just wait.

It depends if there is a clear line of fighting. I play a lot of conquest, so this doesn't affect me too much. And even then, on breakthrough the enemy is going to be pushing either way. I would still recommend smoking downed players.

@@marzipandan767 I exclusively play conquest too. I think in the open it’s fine to smoke a downed player, almost essential, but if you’re on a flag smoking the body will disturb your team. For example, if you’re on C flag on exposure, which is a hotspot for fighting, and you want to revive some people who’ve been downed in front of the big entrance on either side. Best thing is to smoke the enemies in their part of the tunnel/further down the ramp than in front of your part because now they can push freely and you can’t see them.

For Irish's APS Sentinals, I don't think EMP grenades are targeted. Everytime I played on a map that has a critical choke point, I threw EMP grenades at APS Sentinals and I would always get points for destroying enemy equipment. I always put the shield blocking a doorway while the APS is near-by hiding behind a wall so it won't get shot at directly.

Angel is your man if you want to play with that Loadout crate. Drop it frequently as soon as you start capturing an objective, it recharges very often, so just spam it! Friendly engineers will love you!

Her revive is very fast. Personally, I've been really enjoying Irish, since I am a frequent vehicle user, his sentinels have come in clutch more than once. To prevent those last rockets hits while my vehicle gets repaired or retreats.

Its stunning to me why Irish' APS intercepts AGMs from helis and jets and the attack helis 127mm rockets. Those weapons are primarily uaed for anti vehicle gameplay (especially the AGMs). And the only way you can effectively protect a vehicle against these weapons is by placing 2 APS around your vehicle. And the only way this is working is if you stand still the entire time. Aka spawn camping. Its so sad man.

To be fair the 127mm are super effective against infantry but yes I agree it is annoying when campers use them. I usually get a sniper teammate to shoot them out or use nightbird mgs on them before agms. This was the best for the 20mm flak jeep campers who camp in spawn with aps. I fly low and around them and shred the vehicle before they can react and their aps does nothing

They are updating his APS sentinel to NOT intercept cannons, so you should always have a way to destroy the sentinels on your aircraft. Even with the attack chopper you can just swap to your gunner seat, destroy them, then swap back and nail them with your 127mm's.

@@marzipandan767 Well yes, sure. But it's about principles here. There is no reason for an AGM to be intercepted by Irish APS. Vehicles that have APS dont need a second one and vehicles that dont have one are overprotected if they are next to an APS. Sure i can switch to the gunner seat in the attack heli to destroy the APS next to the spawn camping wildcat. But this is gonna take a few seconds. And those few seconds are incredibly important if you try to push a wildcat in its spawn, since you typically deal with it by one surprise attack where you just try to finish it before it even notices you. In the nightbird it's also kind of an overkill. If the guy in the wildcat uses his thermal smoke well he can already survive quite long against only AGMs. And if you then also have to take care of APS, which he can reinstall while being covered in thermal smoke, thats gonna result in a 5 minute long battle of who gets annoyed faster. Not to mention the pretty high probability of having to blow off the attack because you get attacked with stingers, a jet or the other heli.

I really feel like I provide way more support with Irish because I can help support a group push better by putting down a barrier in front of a bunch of downed teammates or by deploying a trophy system. Since I have a barrier to revive I rely less on smokes and I can carry an EMP with the ammo crate it really makes a big difference in being able to bust down enemy encampments

Honestly if you plan on being far away, you'll probably want to use Irish, since he can deploy a shield wall which you can use for cover. It has a window, so you can use it to line up shots against enemy snipers, pop up and finish them before they can react. To support your team, you really need to stick with them in order to get the most out of the support kit, since everything requires you to be close range. If you still want to play with a sniper and want to get up close, might I recommend the NTW-50 which one shots people even without headshots up to a good distance.

The best way is still to use a corner to duck around and lead him near friendlies. When he's going for a teammate shoot him in the back or side dozer players often have really bad tunnel vision

Falck with SFAR-M GL is pretty good, with smoke grenade and ammo box. Loading the SFAR grenade launcher with AP grenades makes you a light engineer class even xD

I think the AP underbarrel GL weapons are the only weapons I don't use as a support, but that's because I play with them too much when I play engineer, so support time is time for something different XD But I agree, AP grenades are great against vehicles, and everyone needs to know this :)

Love the video, I'm new to battlefield, joined half way through season 5 and im an Angel main and just got Support T1 last night,that took some doing, also got the defib and ammcrate T1 a couple weeks back and a couple of other T1s. I don't usually go for pvp games as I'm not that good at them, my friends got me into it. I'm enjoying it but weapon balances need to be addressed, but that's just my opinion. I didn't know about the ammo airdrops, I'll definitely remember that the next time we running a different map other that redacted. Once again, a great vid, thanks from a bf noob👍

It didn't really take to long with the crazy /suicidal bunch I run with, lol. Now working on falck. It's great u can shoot the dart on the floor and walk/run over it to heal yourself. It's cool and funny that you can kill enemy with the defib. Done that with enemy not looking and zap. Soooo funny.. I do find smoke grenades are a pain

This video actually massively underperformed compared to others. I'm not sure if it would be worth my time :/ I also don't play recon as much as I ought to, so if I was going to it would take a lot of time to figure out. From my perspective the most important thing a recon player can do is actually play the objective, since the spawn beacon is a game winning tool. However, so many players only use it to make sure they can respawn in their favourite sniper spot.

If you use his loadout crate, it is definitely worth it. If you find that you aren't then he isn't. Engineers absolutely love seeing these crates since it means they can keep doing their job without needing to respawn. Drop them frequently. I'm glad I could help, let me know how it goes!

I noticed you were walking towards your dead teammates and pressing E to rev them. I strongly recommend pulling out the defibrillators and charging them up while you bunny hop cheese towards teammates. Doing this allows you to instantly revive teammates at max (or near max health) while never having to slow down your own movement.

They used to block them (hence the clip of it happening at 13:56) but during the creation of this video Dice updated the sentinels to not interact with all 'cannon' type weapons, e.g. the 30mm cannons, the 50mm cannons, the MAV auto cannon, etc.
