Choice routes scare the hell out of me, WRs never seem to do what I expect and I end up throwing straight into coverage. Love the run and shoot overall though.

Thing is that with option routes, you can also use them as a pre snap reference and hot route them. If it’s one high I typically do posts and curls as most people run cover 3 sky

Hey thats fair! I think maybe the difference with jamming and stuff can mess me up sometimes but overall i do find them fairly consistent

Mid blitz sucks against multiple veer and shoot formations that use choice concepts. Mid blitz vs 5 lineman, 1 te, rb ,on play action, with your wr choice routes being man beating routes is an instant 1 play touchdown.

So these guys don’t changed their routes with better awareness? It’s all based on what they are running or if they get pressed or not?

It depends what coverage the defense is in. So if it’s a deep dig with a choice post and the defense runs cover three/single high safety he will run the dig If the defense is in cover two/ two high safety he will run the post instead of the dig You basically know what the receiver will run based on your pre snap reads. Except when ppl are using shells then you will have to rely on your post snap reads. Hope this helps!!

@ ahh I was overthinking it I was going off of if the db was pressed to the line I figured the wr would run vert and try to beat him and if he was backed he do they same but if the db’s first step was back he’d hitch it like in real life but it makes more sense for a video game I appreciate it man

Yeha it would be cool if they would have some more adjustments based on if they beat a guy on the line and stuff but right now it is all based on coverages!

How do you prevent the QB from underthrowing the ball. Everytime I get separation deep, QB underthrows it. Doesn’t matter if it’s a high pass, lob, floater, back shoulder, etc.

Use out routes or corner routes. They get open pretty quick against man coverage & that way if they user the mlb they can’t get to the outside fast enough so that’s 1 on 1. Zig routes also work against man coverage. You can also use some outside run concepts to the side with less defenders if you bring in extra tight ends for blocking , or you can spam the goal line run play since they wanna spam the mid blitz on you lol spam on them back lol

@ i just did a random jumble of teams landed on Oklahoma state and just found a nasty run scheme in pistol open flex beat a Bama user 34-7 my online h2h record is 49-3 but my 3 losses are literally to mid blitz cheesers
