While playing solo, here's what I've learned. Experimentation is a great starting place, March if you go straight left to that fire exit is better though because the higher number of loot spawns. Jetpack is a MUST for getting to/from entrances with small loot on higher quotas (500+) Flashlight is nice, but just taking a shovel is often better as long as you keep an eye out for turrets, landmines, and snarefleas. (constant scanning to see loot) Forest Giants will drop you if you use a stun grenade or the zap gun on them as they go to pick you up. My go-to strategy is as follows: Only buy on-sale stuff if you can. Don't buy stuff at the company unless it's already on sale, wait until after you lift off in case the new quota brings good deals. Save up as much money as you can at the start for the first 2 or 3 profit quotas Sell ALL of your scrap at the company at 100% so you don't lose it (goal is not to die, but plan for if you do) Always have at least 1 extra set of gear if you can (2 shovels and 2 pro-flashlights at least) so you don't always need to waste 30ish minutes of the day for them to deliver. Get a Jetpack ASAP, fly to an entrance, drop it at the door, grab small loot with priority (bc you can't fly with big loot) Don't take tattered metal sheets, unless there is nothing else, because they're heavy and only worth like 10-20 credits (same applies for many other items) Save half of your stamina while running around inside in case you need to make a mad dash to a railing, also keep note of all nearby railing in the case of an unexpected monster. Once you have the money for it, stock up on extra sets of gear (especially if any of it's on sale), and if you don't need any more stuff then you can start saving scrap for next quota. I know this probably won't do much for you in terms of surviving as that's part of just learning what you need to watch out for, but it's done me wonders with getting up past even a 1500 quota on solo. Once you get past the 1500ish quota, it starts to get really really hard and you need to go to rend/dine/titan to even survive.

Jetpack is not hat useful, if you go titan anyway for better loot, and with the ladder trick you can drop all of your loot just outside your ship anyway.

@Kaletris you're not wrong, but I personally prefer Rend over Titan because of the night spawns when playing solo. A single forest giant in the small area titan offers makes it very hard to get back to your ship safely in comparison to rend. In addition, Titan has higher monster spawn rates to loot ratio than Rend. Some people prefer Titan bc there are rooms with a lot of loot rather than more spread out like on Rend, but in solo you can't really get all the loot anyway so I've not seen a sizeable difference comparing the jetpack/rend vs. Ladder/titan strategy except that I experienced less deaths on Rend. Ultimately, it really comes down to personal preference. I prefer Rend, others prefer Titan. They spawn relatively comparable loot amounts. Rend requires more running around inside between loot, but is more consistent loot(Aka loot per distance, bc titan spawns large amounts in specific rooms which cause a disparity). Titan has more monsters compared to loot (because it has almost twice as many spawn locations on average), so if you're really confident in not dying at all titan might be a better choice for you. Although, in non-solo, Titan is a better planet for full 4 person groups or more.

Hey just thought I'd share some tips for solo. I just hit a 3.5k quota on my solo run so I'd like to think I'm doing fairly good. 1. Run maps with this priority, Titan>Offense>Titan (eclipsed)>Dine/Rend>March>Offense (eclipsed)>Anything else>Anything else (eclipsed) The reason for this is that Offense is fairly safe with the fire exit leading straight to the ship (jump on the pipe at the beginning), and Titan is easy to bring everything back as well Early game I would just recommend Offense, and until you're comfortable running Titan eclipsed you might opt to just run Dine/Rend instead. Also don't be afraid to abandon Titan, Dine or Rend if they suddenly become eclipsed. If you die, your run is over, so play it safe. 2. Extension ladders are your best friend. For real, use them on Titan AND Offense to drop loot very close or even directly on the ship in the case of Offense. 3. Jetpacks are pretty nice if you have to run a map that needs it. IMO Dine and Rend basically need Jetpacks if you even think about doing things in a timely manner. 4. Respect enemies. In the video you already do a good job of this but especially in the case of Jesters and the Ghost Girl, you need to abandon that run. 5. Check the fire exits. Sometimes loot is just hanging around and takes seconds to grab, and I would highly recommend doing this on maps with easy to access fire exits like Titan or Dine Side note this is also really good in case you had to abandon the run if you want to take the slight risk for some extra cash. 6. Saving keys early on in a run can help a lot later. In my endgame runs I like to bring a jetpack, extension ladder, key and shovel up to Titan. If you don't have one or run out of keys, a lockpicker isn't a bad purchase sometimes. It takes 30 seconds to unlock a door but it is worth it. Really useful on Titan for example if main is just blocked by a locked door 10 feet in, pop the lockpicker on and go clear out the fire exit, come back and you got your door open. 7. Buy disposables. If you have extra money to fly to titan and you've already got the basic gear you need (extension ladder, shovel, etc,) then disposable pro-flashlights are sometimes nice to bring in just to clear out hallways/rooms much faster. Flashlights definitely aren't needed but save a lot of time and can get you loot faster, which will give you more time to look for more loot. And never stress out about dropping it to grab more stuff. It's *disposable*. 8. If you don't have money for a Jetpack yet, TZP-Inhalant is actually pretty good for making the sprint to Dine and Rend's entrances. You can also bring it to the door so your return trip is a lot quicker and sometimes safer, just pop it for around 8 seconds, grab your stuff and go. 9. Buy only at the company. Be prepared and if you have extra money, buy extra important things in case you need to ditch it. 3 extension ladders for example is good in case there are just too many enemies roaming around where you left yours and it's too dangerous to try and retrieve. 10. Play it safe and be on your toes. Dying means you lose everything, so keep safety at your top priority. Factor in how each of the things you've learned while playing this game overall contribute to your safety and make your next move accordingly. Have you been able to hiverun at 8pm before? Cool. Is it safe? Not usually. Play it safe and good luck.
