Great video, to the point. What doesn't work for me, highlight any text in Safari, right click and save to Quick Note, the menu item is not visible at all. I haven't found anything in the settings, maybe I've overlooked something.

I'd love to use Notes for studying but since I'm usually adding sketches with my iPad in between of what I'm typing on the Mac it syncs too slowly (sometimes after minutes) and hence stops my workflow. Would you have any advice on how to enable that realtime functionality?

Wow, let me just start by saying that I normally don't comment on videos, but in your case I have to! Your editing is absolutely amazing, even though you are using plug ins in FCPX the amount of effort you are putting in Sound design and Effects is absolutely incredible just thought you'd appreciate hearing that as sometimes this goes unnoticed by most viewers that aren't into content creation. Plus the content itself is super informative and engaging, you are deffinetly going to go far! I have been using apple notes for a long time and it is by far my preferred piece of software for this matter the only downside I find is the inability to duplicated notes easily this would make my workflow so much better, I have switched to Notion last year but can definitely see myself coming back to apple notes if they add an easy duplicate note/folder option. Anyway sorry about the massive paragraph! keep it up!

And regarding the duplication of notes, can't you just right-click a note and choose Duplicate (at least for me this works with macOS Sonoma)?

While I am not so much in content creation, I like when someone taking note of the finer details that happens behind the scene. For the duplication of the notes - select any note and press Cmd + d 😃 should work in Sonoma. Cheers !

Hey, thank you very much for the great feedback! That's because this is just a "preview" of your PDF. If you double-click this preview, your Mac will open the PDF as normal. That being said, with the newest version of macOS, your Mac should be able to preview the complete PDF, so maybe check if your Mac needs an update: In System Settings, under General and then Software Update.

Hi Vince, trying to open an Apple note in pages only gets a small amount of the note with no images. How can i fix this? Also exporting an Apple note to PDF does not allow the mini player to function. I'd love to be able to fix this because it will allow us to create some extraordinary educational materials

Hi there! The Pages exporting problem probably is a bug, are you on the newest software? And the mini player sadly doesn't work in a PDF, it's only supported by the Notes app. Sorry!

Hi Vince i have another important question for you. When i use your recommended method of capturing a video in notes with the built in player, this is not preserved when exporting the note to a PDF. Seems the only way o retaining the active link to the video in an exported PDF is via the old fashioned way of selecting text and adding a link via the add link menu item. The problem with this is there is no thumbnail and the viewer cannot readily see it. Is this an inherent limitation in the notes app? Exporting to Pages seems to have similar limitations. I welcome your comments and any solutions you can offer. I'm using notes to create a PDF ebook and trying to collect all the content in one place the user needs and wants.

I was up half the night trying to figure this out and concluded that selecting non-contiguous text is no longer supported in Notes so the part in the video where Vince used Command +/- to change the size of multiple Headings no longer works. You can do it in Pages and Word but not in Notes. Hopefully someone proves me wrong.

Awesome video ... I am using Apple Notes very intensely, but you showed me some tips that solve current challenges ... thank you for that. As you mentioned the "scan document" options .... you also can long-press the Apple Notes icon on your iOS device to scan a document, e.g. when you got invoices on paper that you want to archive in Apple Notes.

More and more reasons to jump from (multi-platform and free) Microsoft OneNote. Feature wise, there is a competition race. Each got its own strength and workarounds. One hidden gem of Apple Notes is Reminder integration, which in turn is well upgraded in latest iOS (interactive widgets). If only I had iPhone x) PS as always, as trademark of this channel - everything is well presented and covered with a good depth!

Hey again! The trackpad supports many gestures, so you might activate some of them by mistake. You can check all gestures out in the System Settings, by scrolling right down to Trackpad. You can open the Dictionary using a three finger tap, so that might have been why you've opened it. I'd recommend familiarising yourself with all the gestures, Mac trackpads are very, very sensitive and can be really powerful if you use all their features. Feel free to drop me any further questions in the comments! Hope this helps :)

Hey! There should be a small speaker icon when playing the video and hovering the mouse over the mini player - click on this speaker icon and there should be sound! By default, Notes will always play the mini player without sound. Hope this helps - and thank you for watching!

Problem I have, and it may be weird, but when you use a tag to send a note to a smart folder, it continues to live inside the generic inbox "Notes" folder. I hate that. So even though it's organized by filterby going to the smart folder down the rode, the note is still sitting there in it's original default location.

Wieder ein gutes sehr gutes Video … ich wusste bisher nicht was alles in notes steckt … Schade nur das man diese nicht mit Erinnerungen verknüpfen kann… waren wieder Ideen dabei die mich für mehr neugierig gemacht haben. Nun man merkt das du auch langsamer sprichst das ist auch schon mal der Weg aber noch nicht das Ziel. Ich würde dir empfehlen die Übergänge in den Videos deutlich langsamer zu machen … man schaut gerade was du angeklickt hast …und schon kommt was neues .. du hast sicher schon mal MAC VISPER gesehen .. schau mal ansonsten ein wichtiger Kanal in meiner Sammlung…

Hey! That's very weird, normally, you can't uninstall Notes. Are you sure it's gone? Have you checked the Applications folder? Or try searching for it with Spotlight Search (Command + Space)?
