I learned that people will literally watch anything! Your vlogs will find their audience. Successful bloggers aren’t doing anything “extraordinary” in their vlogs. Just be yourself and continue to improve editing, quality, etc. Good luck everyone ❤

little tip from one of the girls who watches the girls and has been for years...the hour long vlogs consist of at least a weekend of footage. and a mixture of talking, not talking with music, or just talking/text like you said. the very long vlogs are always covering a very long amount of time....or have little editing and are in real time of one whole day.

@@GooseCeeAgree! I love to watch instructional videos on anything that I have an interest in such as editing, photography, etc., or short films produced by independent producers, BUT I don’t like to spend more than 5-7 minutes at most watching a youtube video. Keep the topic scope, or story concise so the short video will work in instructional videos or short films. Reels/shorts are typically just entertainment and mostly annoying, or if instructional are too short to contain enough information to be useful. For me the first thing I look at is the video length, then topic. If it’s longer than 7 minutes I will allow for a little more if the topic is something of great interest to me, and when I begin viewing it, it needs to capture my attention or I”m out.

Little tip for getting comfortable filming yourself in public: Put your AirPod in your ear and have a natural phone call with a friend while filming yourself walking through the busiest place you can think of, over a few weeks of doing that it’ll become a natural thing to walk and talk to a camera - another side tip, take half and hour or so out your day just filming yourself walking around the house and talking to the family so it becomes second nature having a camera in your face ✌🏼 Good luck

The thing I’ve learned about vlogging is to tell a story, have a purpose, go on an adventure, be on a mission. Come up with an idea that you can vlog about, that would make people want to look at your thumbnail, read your title, click on your video, be hooked from the start and watch your vlog from beginning to end. Definitely watch the women, but also watch Casey Neistat and Emma Chamberlain since they were able to garner a lot of success and are two of the most notable vloggers on KZbin. See how they capture and maintain viewers interest and attention and tell stories with their vlogs. Figure out the framework of how successful vlogs are made and then how you can vlog in your style. I don’t even think your vlogs gotta be long, at least not at the start. The longer you do it and people get familiar with you the longer you’ll go and share more of your time with them.

Enjoyed your editing style here and the points you made. These are all things I just discovered are slowing me down from being consistent with my vlogging. This helps relieve the pressure off me and lessens the resistance I feel when capturing content.

Efficiency is key. I also jot down ideas of what I want to talk about/share. Mine are more lifestyle/peaceful living, but it doesn't matter if it is 1hr long or 10min. Just an update on what is on your mind. Period. The camera is like talking to yourself or a really close friend. AND recording the ambiance is 100% awesome to do. We are rv travel vloggers, and share our daily journey, before i do anything, i think should i film this. I vlog everywhere especially in the grocery store or walmart, i have met so many people vlogging with my light on while checking out at walmart, they are like what are you doing, what’s your youtube channel. The only way to get comfortable is to vlog everywhere there are people, you will have to do this hundreds of time to be comfortable. And we are 60 years old. larry.

I’ve been on this journey for 2 going on 3 years but my videos barely get any love. And they’re only like 11 min max. Thank you for your video. New sub! 🙌🏼

Thank youuuuu yuppp I got tired of logging with my Sony ZV one camera. I now use my DJI pocket three and right now. I have to edit a five hour Vlog hoping it will be an hour, but mine is usually run about 30 to 40 minutes at the most.

You are so right.. I watch the same vlog girlies and prefer the longer ones so I don't have to keep finding smthg to look at every 17minutes
