Yep, when I first played this game I played it exactly like how I played Deepwoken, which was also a contributing factor on why I quit on the original release of the game. They're basically two separate combat systems at this point.

Friendly tip against Quincy kido true letz, kendo pressure shift the beam, speed have enhanced step on and dodge u insta tp behind them = free fast fang , hakuda absolute defense the first beam then shori they have endlag after shooting. That's all thank u

as a arrancar i use kido cuz its better to deal with teamers (happens alot) its very weird man their ranged moves are so much more versatile than ours and their damage is insane

@@jn4458 same bro, arrancar kido has less range and dmg but i think it has more combo potential, the bad thing is that you have to hit everything so the enemies have way more opportunities to hit you back

I'm so invested into learning the combat of this game that i got 5/30 in rank I tried to be technical in which to no effect when I try to fight using 100% of my brain power the player just keeps on coming onto me(pause) only stopping to wait for CD or reiatsu idk if it's a skill issue or something but I can't sleep soundly at night knowing I suck at pvp in this game. I'm the type that want to understand the whole mechanics of a combat system and just try out everything TLDR: I played alot of times and came to the conclusion that being technical in type soul is HARD asf but not impossible

I run 50 ken and 15 speed with pressure shift no longer doable since the pressure shift change but you can def do that. Pressure shift is literally amazing especially against hakuda. If u struggle with getting zoned and ranged then go 50 Ken for mortal ties

Parrying is useless but its also useless trying to dodge, if you get hit just one time it feels like you’re stuck in a 20 hit minimum combo and there’s simply nothing you can do about it. This game is fun it really is but the combat is terrible.

Only moves you should realistically be getting hit by are ghost cleave and fast fang, none of the other speed moves are a problem once you get better at the game (even ghost cleave is useless once you learn it's parry timings)
