Honestly the mecha battle area being the Morphin Grid works well. It also could work that the Hitotsukis are created from a glitch of the Grid so this could explain why they are themed after previous Rangers.

I had always thought if Donbrothers were to be adapted, it would take on a video game/virtual reality theme. Maybe have the Noto be admins of a Momotaro based video game that just came to the US, something akin to Legend of Zelda. When the game is imported, a virus, the Hitotsuki, infects the game and causes people to become part of the game, some even becoming Hitotsuki themselves (similar to how Spy Kids 3D had people getting imported into the game). The main avatars would be based on the legend of Momotaro and perhaps whoever has Momotaro as an avatar, they gain all of the knowledge of the entire game, but when they de-morph, they don't remember any of it (similar to Moon Knight in that regard). Then for the Juto, have them be part of the actual game in the first place, maybe they are the enemies of Momotaro as the Oni themselves. As for Kaito/Zenkaiser Black, he could be either the original creator of the game or he could act as one of those NPC characters that always pop up and give the Rangers different quests to complete. While he is technically an "NPC," maybe someone is actually controlling him in some regard... or perhaps he's not even and NPC at all... Idk, something like that.

If I could make a Donbrothers adaptation, I would do it like that. Momotaro is the owner and director of a failing theater and seeks to gather enough funds and employees to make it great again. He manages to sneak into the Morphin Grid and gains the powers of Donmomotaro. However his tampering with the grid releases a great amount of morphing energy (for lack of a better term) that infects the entire city. Most people are unaffected by the energy, but in case of intense emotions they could be turned transform into monsters. Taro seeing monsters appearing transforms into Donmomotaro to fight them and by that the morphing energy materializes into the Avataro gears. The main plot would be of Taro recruiting the Donbrothers and making them a part of his theater squad. The Notou I see as some sort of critics or building managers trying to close the theater. Eventually it is revealed that theater was rebuilt into Don Onitaijin. This is a seriously rough draft of jumbled ideas without much coherency, but I would like to build on it some day.

I think it would be really cool to have PR do like a meta verse team of rangers that would explain the wacky suits call them the Avatar Rangers. Have a new game come from Japan that explains the peach theme and the monsters are glitches or something and since it’s in the meta verse they can look up alternative rangers which would open up teams never before seen in PR ie the other sentai teams

Honestly I think Zenkaiger and Donbrothers would be the two Sentai that would be the hardest to try to adapt due to Zenkaiger being more of an anniversary for Super Sentai than Power Rangers and Donbrothers mainly due to its gimmick being based on the Japanese folktale of momotaro, I don't know if they would work as ranger seasons, but if they were to get adapted I'd like to see how they would do that.

A while ago I had an idea for an adaptation that actually goes in the opposite direction in regards to being a Zenkaiger sequel. The idea being that with how seasons have been chosen and utilized by Saban and Hasbro in recent years. The story itself would follow the purified version of Lord Zedd (in the form of Zenkaiser Black) putting together a new team to fight people from his homeworld (the nouto) that are attacking out of a sense of betrayel. The Momotaro influence would be explained away by being a story Zedd came across in his post Z-wave travels that he rather liked. same for the Journey to the West basis of Don Doragoku/Torabolt's inspiration

Thomasjujube, here's my idea for a power ranger adaptation of donbrothers with some elements of zenkaiger Called "Power Rangers Avatar Warriors" Red Ranger/Taro Momoi-The Team Leader and first asian Red Ranger. Taro is an accomplished martial artist skilled in Karate and Kendo and has won many tournaments. He also works as a security guard at a mall. Taro was scouted by the White Ranger to become the Red Ranger and battles Cyber Monsters hailing from a Virtual Reality while searching for his long lost brother, Sonoi, who unbeknownst to him has become the Navy Cyber Ranger. Yellow Ranger/Haruka Kito- A Pro Gamer who is the champion of a VR video game called" VR Monster Wars". Haruka is often suspicious of Taro, leading her to find out his secret identity as the Red Ranger and also leading her to become the Yellow Ranger herself. Having become the last member to join the team, Haruka is trained by Taro in combat in order to better her fighting prowess while developing a strong friendship with Taro(which would later evolve to Romantic Feelings for him). Haruka also befriended fellow gamer, Sonoza, who is later revealed to be the Orange Cyber Ranger by Taro. Blue Ranger/Shinichi Saruhara- Second in Command. A Gorilla Humanoid from The Virtual Reality and the second to be scouted by the White Ranger to join the team. Shinchi uses VR glasses to enter the real world as a human. He enjoys reading and take parts in sport competitions. Shinchi is also the heart of the team and strategize battle tactics with Taro. Black Ranger/Tsubasa Inuzuka- A Young Dog-Like Humanoid from The Virtual Reality and the third to be scouted by the White Ranger to join the team. Tsubasa uses VR glasses to enter the real world as a human. Tsubasa is more of a rebel and a loner who often get into trouble with the law and acts on his own in battle. Later on, Tsubasa learns the value of teamwork and slowly becomes a team player. Tsubasa would often cross paths with a thief named Sononi, who would later be revealed to be the White Cyber Ranger. Pink Ranger/Tsuyoshi Kijino-The first Male Pink Ranger. A Bird Humanoid from The Virtual Reality and the fourth to be scouted by the White Ranger to join the team. Tsuyoshi uses VR glasses to enter the real world as a human. Tsuyoshi struggles to find his place in the world and the team and later on becomes a fashion designer. He also learns to be independent to himself and embraces his sexually. Gold Ranger/Jiro Momotani- The Sixth Ranger. A competitive martial artist and childhood rival of Taro. Jiro comes from a strict family who pushes him beyond his limits. After loosing a fight against Taro years prior, Jiro receives his Morpher (Tiguadora) From an unknown source and becomes the Gold Ranger to be the best fighter there is and to suppress Taro by challenging him into a duel. When Jiro desire to win consumes him, he uncontrollably morphs into the Silver Ranger. His actions come into conflict with the Cyber Rangers. Later on, Jiro learns not to let his ego control every aspect of his life, makes amends with Taro, and joins the team. White Ranger/Kaito Goshikida- The Team's Mentor. Kaito is a scientist and researcher who was the first to discover the Virtual Reality and the threat of The Cyber Monsters and his VR Counterpart, Staceaser. In Response to this threat, Kaito created his own ranger powers and became the White Ranger to combat Staceaser and his forces with the help of his Robotic Assistants who can transform into Zords. However, a battle with the Cyber Monster generals, had left with Kaito losing his full powers, his colorful form rendering his suit black and weak and his team to Saceaser. With no other options, Kaito, created the Avatar Warrior Ranger powers and chose 2 humans( Taro and Haruka) and 3 humanoids from the Cyber Dimension (Shinichi, Tsubasa, and Tsuyoshi) to become the Avatar Warrior Power Rangers. The Avatar Warrior Ranger technology were derived from Kaito's old Ranger technology but upgraded by the use of his research of the Virtual Reality. Later on, Kaito regains his full powers and joins the rangers in battle. The Cyber Rangers(Noto Trio) are a rival team of Rangers who are scouted by the White Ranger's evil clone, Staceaser, to battle the monsters from the virtual reality in order to absorb their energy source to harness it to "wipe out the Cyber Monsters", when in reality its really to enhance the Cyber Monster Generals. The Cyber Rangers along with the Cyber Monsters powers are created and derived by Kaito's lost powers, which were stolen by Staceaser. After learning the truth, The Cyber Rangers are brainwashed but later on rescued by the Avatar Warrior Rangers and joined their team. Navy Cyber Ranger/Sonoi Momoi- The Long Lost Older Brother of Taro and the Leader of the Cyber Rangers. Sonoi and Taro trained together in Karate and Kendo ever since Taro was young. On his way to his brother's Fight competition, Sonoi is visited by Staceaser who informed him of the threat of the Cyber Monsters and their plan to invade the real world. To ensure Taro's safety, Sonoi chose abandon his family and join Staceaser as the first member of the Cyber Rangers. Years later, Sonoi comes to conflict with Taro, who unbeknownst to him had become the Red Ranger. After finding out Taro's identity, Sonoi confronts Staceaser, who brainwashes him and the rest of the Cyber Rangers, Turning him into the Red Cyber Ranger. After being saved the Avatar Warrior Rangers and being reunited with Taro, Sonoi vows to make amends of his actions by join his brother and the team. White Cyber Ranger/Sononi- A member of the Cyber Rangers and a Pickpocket Thief from a poor family who was scouted by Staceaser who promised her fortune and wealth for her family. She would often cross paths with Tsubasa, later on discovering he's the Black Ranger while she pickpocked him. They started out as rivals and later developed feelings for each other. Brainwashed along with Sonoi and Sonoza, Sononi became the Purple Cyber Ranger. When she was rescued, Sononi joins the Avatar Warrior Rangers. Orange Cyber Ranger/Sonoza- A member of the Cyber Rangers and a Pro Gamer who joined Staceaser to fulfill his dream as a Superhero. Sonoza was instructed to get close to Haruka for information, but spending time together really bonded the two. While Taro was suspicious about Sonoza, he tried to warn Haruka, who didn't believe at first but eventually find out Sonoza's identity. When Sonoza was brainwashed, he became the Silver Cyber Ranger. When he was rescued, Sonoza makes amends with Haruka and joins the Avatar Warrior Rangers. Cyber Monsters(Hitosuki) are a race of monsters from the Virtual Reality who are at war with other inhabitants, a breed of Animal Humanoids. Their goal is to invade the real world and replace the Human Race with members of their own kind. Their Scientist, Staceaser uses the White Ranger's medals, which are his power source, and placed them onto humans turning them into Cyber Monsters while manipulating the Cyber Rangers to destroy them so that their energy source can be used to replicate and enhanced their forces. (Sorry i couldn't come up with something for Don Murasame. Im tired and this is all i got)

The suits are hit or miss among people and won't sell toys and only season that appeals to Westerners are Kirameiger, Kyuranger (They're sort of doing that with Cosmic Fury), and the new one based around bugs and kings. (Red Donbrother's helmet is considered too goofy among some Ranger fans)

In Don brothers, I don’t think there was an explanation why most of the antagonists (the Noto and the Juto) have a slight oni motif because they have horns. If this series gets adapted, I think it would be better that the role of the Noto might be similar, but they have some previous ties with the oni. For the rangers, most, if not all, of the main team members are not fully human and are based other Japanese tales besides Momotaro. For example: Inu is based on hakenden (already done in Don brothers, but not developed enough), where he has 7 brothers that also become Inu brother for a few episodes each. For Saru, he is based on The Monkey and the Crab (with a twist). Kiji has rather vague origins, though in some folktales, pheasants were claimed to be “messengers of heaven.” In addition, his powers somehow become a key against the Juto. If they are going to do the “secret identities route,” then that should end before Murasame shows up.

If I were to adapt this season, I would have the plot be that it all takes place inside a power ranger-themed vr game that the main characters got trapped in, sword art online-style. Some of the more unusual aspects of the the show, like the cgi rangers, could be passed off as glitches in the game

I know a lot of people would rather keep the whole kit and caboodle in an adaptation of Don Brothers, but between the CGI rangers and the lack of knowledge on Japanese culture in the west (which the opposite is still a problem in Japan with them not understanding as much of classic stories from other countries and cultures) it would end up losing the target audience (most of the people here tend to forget that these shows are targeting kids and adults being able to enjoy them is an added bonus to Hasbro)! The best way to have the story in a way that would keep the kids interest is to take the best parts of the series like the Robo-Forms (sans the peach emblems) and make their own unique story from it and using a clip or two from the original. This would give people all the best parts of this series while providing it in a way children understand, enjoy, and can (maybe) relate to. Plus it means we can avoid the awkwardness of trying to explain where unadapted Sentai Series came from, especially Lupinranger and Patranger since the only series less like than them to be adapted is Toqger (at this point, only way we get a power rangers adaptation for them is in the Power Rangers comic book universe) (there is another reason other than the train bit that will prevent Toqger from being adapted: if you don’t put the end of the red train in the proper place on the main megazord, it looks like it has an 🍆 and there’s no way that’ll make it onto toy shelves, much less TV or Streaming)! Still well explained though.

I have now come up with an interesting option, suddenly the Red Ranger will be a Galifrey Knight who wants to find out what a Morphing grid is, and the Flux organization, the king of Time, who use the power of regeneration and they become Time Demons, the Yellow Ranger is Rose Akana (daughter of Ollie and Amelia half-blood), there is a sister, this Knight - Galifreya her story is secret, she has 2 sides, they will be assisted by Lord Zed and he will be disguised as Doctor Who, they are the Power Rangers Avatar Charge team. Galifrey Charge is a Red Ranger, Demon Charge is a Yellow Ranger, Dog Charge is a Black Ranger, Flamingo Charge is a Pink Ranger, Gorilla Charge is a Blue Ranger. Dragon Charge - Golden Ranger, Tiger Charge - Silver Ranger

My idea for explaining the Black and Pink rangers were this would be a season of rangers from different universes coming together to save the multiverse. Then it wouldn't matter if they were a cat and bird, but working with the Sentai footage with bad cgi is still a problem that I don't know how you'd get around.

I would actually bring back multiple rangers and bring in some new ones to create this Power Rangers team. Ravi would be the gorilla ranger.

The suits should represent the rangers themselves, twokai flint is their mentor and the rangers are completely new characters. The noto are the zenkaigers, the empowered are led by stacaeser ( now Don murasame ) the zenkaizer Black story is the same as in the vid. staceaser never became a true friend of the zenkaiger. and the whole inavsion was zedd's idea.
