Isn’t the row counter magnet supposed to count the stitches at the front and not the back?

I love your set up. And I tried to match it but my little magnet kept falling off and now I can't find it. However, I do have a question. Why did you send the magnet up a crossed from the number one pin.?? I know you must've had a good reason for doing that. I'm just too dense to know what it is.😂

If you line up the first needle at the yarn feeder, you can place the magnet at any needle. I choose one across the machine so the wand doesn't get my way. So when #1 needle passes, the magnet will swipe the wand on the other side.

I have to hold the reset button for a 2-3 seconds before it resets. If this doesn't work, you may need a new counter.

Я нашла причину. Микросхему контакты ластиком почистила и протёрла спиртом. И потуже закрутила болтики, иногда из-за этого плохой контакт. Теперь всё работает. Может кому пригодится мой опыт. Благодарю вас за то, что ответили мне🌹
