Great tutorial. I would like to make a large poster composed of 4 A4 sheets glued but printed on both sides to have day and night, is there software that allows this?

In theory, you can just feed the first map's pages back into the printer in order to print map #2 on the back - just be very mindful of the order! - Ross

for past year i was manually adding grid in GIMP. It was the most tedious and painful part of printing battlemaps. God i feel free now.

so my issue currently is i grid the image first then go to rasterbator but to my demise it seems that the file size increases after adding a grid making the image too large for rasterbator. I guess we have to cut the image up in rasterbator first then grid each individual part?

Cutting it up would certainly work, but you may have luck compressing the file. A PNG file is larger than a JPG, which is larger than a WEBP. The latter two file types also have different compression levels (8, or 80%, is what I always use). There are a handful of different converters online which can help with this, or you might try ImageMagick if you have some CMD skills. Hope that helps!

Is the online tool still working? I've been trying with several image files and none worked. I drop the file but nothing opens, no preview, no grid options...

You may have been trying to access it during maintenance or some other hiccup - just bad timing? It's working on my end still. I'd try using incognito mode or a different browser if you're running into issues. Good luck. :)
