i just clicked bellow in the right corner there was text saying no interpreter, i clicked on it and choose what ever path showed up and now it works i think, it say now: indexing python sdk python 3.12..., did i do anything wrong ?

sometimes it takes awhile yeah to just get everything configured, even if it says that and still works ok, it should be fine. Best of luck, lmk if you have any more trouble!

i get an environment location directory is not empty error do you know how to fix it

so probably whichever folder you used for the environment wasn’t empty, pycharm can make it’s own virtual environments, so something could be in that folder, try to change your interpreter to a different environment, or create a new folder with nothing in it and add the environment to that
