How to Add Basic Ai Textures to Text in Inkscape

In Inkscape, you can go to "Path" then select "Object to Path", and that will allow you to right click, between text and a background image, and clip them together.
This will allow your text to adopt a textured appearance, and then you can dial-it down with opacity, if you wish.
