In this video we will see how to join a Windows 10 PC to Active Directory Domain. First we will see the network structure or diagram to understand the scenario then we will see some prerequisite checks for making any computer as a domain client and also verify the prerequisites. after verifying the prerequisites, we will add a windows 10 computer to domain. we will verify the domain membership of pc by checking the Active Directory users and computers and by logging to windows 10 computer using domain controller's administrator account.

This is client joning the domain and former part is to create a user from server ie domain controller then you can as a user (which is already exist in the server /DC) can join the domain as a member .its like you first create a user from dc then go to the pc of the user and do the shown steps to join the domain

I have seen this too. In our case, I think its related to having a local account on the server with the same name as a domain account. When the local user logs in, they get the %username% profile. Afterwards, the domain user logs into that server. Their home directory gets named %username%.domain

i just have question - i am trying to help a local ngo, and they have active directory setup on windows 2016 server before, so i created a user on AD and now there are several pc's connected to internet which we need to connect to this domain. I assigned static id, added dns server info in dbs for this userpc and tried pingingfrom both sides but these 2 dont ping each other. what else should i verify? i turned off firewall both sides also. now only thing remaining is physical connections but dont know how to check that? Am i missing anything? thanks let me know

Jb aap static IP dete h to use Wi-Fi wali series ka IP address assign kijiye and default gateway me router ka ip address and alternate DNS me router ka IP address or 8.8.8.8 deke try kijiye. It will work😊

In the network setting of Virtual Box, make network adapter attached to NAT or Bridged adapter and assign same network IP addresses to all machines, then all the machines will communicate.

Ping test nahi jaa raha hain. Server ke Windows Firewall mein main ne Inbound Ping Rule Allow Kiya Hai. Phir bhi nahi jaa raha.

Actually during creating user, "user must change password at next logon" must be checked. This is not an error, please change the password and continue

Where you are getting the msg "user must change password before signing in", press enter there and it will ask to generate the new password

It is not recommended to use automatic IP address to DC since automatic IP addresses are dynamic and DC needs static IP address
