To those saying they despawn- I tried this myself and sadly only managed to land one Sanke Carp in there… I tried a few times since but have become scared of accidentally killing it with a chest because THE BABY HASNT DESPAWNED IN 30 EXTRA HOURS OF GAMEPLAY BABY! So I can confirm that at the very least, if you have 1 in your pond, it will stay there ❤

Sorry to dissapoint you but that Sanke Carp isn't the same as the one you spawned from the amiibo. When you buy the fish pond, à Sanke Carp is offered and this Sanke Carp will respawn infinitely. So what happened is that you took that Sanke Carp, tried to add other fish in there and only managed to get a Sanke Carp in there. In the end, the one you spawned with the amiibo despawned and the original respawned and you believe it's the one from the amiibo.

That fish is always there without you having to do anything. Putting your belongings anywhere related to house will despawn except weapons that are actually displayed on weapons rack. Thats why I wont ultrahand other house features like ive seen some folks do. You have to set it up all over again everytime, not worth it.
