How To Add Highlights On Instagram Without Posting On Story! [New Update]

1.Upload the story 2.Add it to highlight 3.Open the story and click on the 3 vertical dots present at bottom right and click add to archive.... BOOM..... the highlight gets uploaded to archive and can be seen and story gets removed

What’s the point of deleting it though? You can just post it to your story, the add to highlights, then archive it. Deleting it and restoring it does nothing as far as I’m aware?

Because people don't want the story to be shown for the 24 hours, they just want the highlights

Is this to be done After the 24 Hours the Story has been posted? It went back straight to my Story once i restored it again

You have to wait at least one day before restoring it again

I tried the first one and at first i loved it cause i wanted to add stories to my highlights without posting them to my actual story for 24 hrs and it worked for the first minute cause i would continuously reload my page and i had nothing on my story until a few minutes later i went back to check and it posted to my story. Since it's an old picture i just wanted for highlights, i took it down so i'm back to square one lol.

Now I understand it and it's easier for me to do, I'll post something to my story and once it's uploaded, i archive it, then go to my archives and add it to my highlights and done ! It sends it right to my highlight without having to post to my story! 👍🏼
