hello ! what hikvision camera are u using? i want to try and use this to inplement into my smart home in a way that when movement is detected, home assistant will know and be able to tell HA to run an automation is that possible? Thank you !

How do I add the cameras if they are all linked to a Hikvision NVR? Do I just enable ONVIF on the NVR? Or do I need to add the cameras individually? I've tried adding individually, but because they are on a different 'sub network' (I think), it doesnt find them.

In my 'integration protocol' tab in config, I only get the option 'Enable ISAPI'. Does that mean my system isn't compatiable with Onvif? Or am I missing something?

It's a Ness 104-203B - which appears to be a brand that white labels hikvision products. It uses the hikvision config portal and everything@@customautomation3230

Hi. I'm not recording on my home assistant, if this what you mean. I have synology drive connected to the camera using onvif. Ate least the time when i was making the video i didn't know how to do it to record on HA. In my opinion it's not the best idea, too much storage, too many services running on one server, cctv should be more secure. If you like to have all on one machine then i will recommend to setup Proxmox server (i have done so i'm running HA, PiHole,VPN, ando 5 more virtual machines, till last month i have PfSense router as well) im using this box: www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B09XTBTG3V/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 But because it's capable to connect only one more ssd drive i'm not able to install TrueNas and have Survilance station on board as well. I planing to move all to my existing desktop with 6 core Inteli5 so i can have more hard drives and not only ssd but old fashion one's as well for bigger storage. Once you have all on proxmox it's good to have proxmox backup server running on separate machine (one of thin clients for 20 bugs) for you'r VMs backups.
