Guys for this to work you need to make sure you have IsTrigger enabled for the sphere collider on each controller.

whenever I place a cube in this case, I was making carpet I put it over top of the floor I go to add hit sounds on the cube and test the game, then I hear the tile hit sounds from the floor when I supposed to hear a carpet sound, I really have no clue how to fix it.(the tutorial works great but maybe it's just a different problem)

thats your collider just going through it, you have to remove the floor under the carpet, or seperate the floor under the carpet and give it the carpet hitsound (i reccomend removing)
