Hi Risa! If it's not a strong texture (in terms of visibility) you might be able to get away with it, but a darker, thicker texture likely not. There are actually several tutorials online on how to make your own green screen using household items, and even a program called XSplit that lets you hide background without even a greenscreen! Yes! You can buy a greenscreen fabric and affix it to make your own green screen (some softwares can remove other colors as well) or you can buy a pre-built greenscreen that comes inside a collapsible box! Best of luck!

Thanks for the video. I have an issue with either looking fake around the edges or fuzzy when I move when I use this method. Trying to find a method that is easier to "cut out the background", and also keep sharp, unmoving edges on my head.

Hi Eddie! Glad you liked it! I'm not a photography expert so I can only go by what I've learned from other videos: Two things can help that fuzzy edges thing: 1) try a softer light. You want something that's bright but also something that is made for photography so doesn't bleed onto the screen. And 2) increase distance between you and the screen. That should resolve some issues!

Hey Justin! Many software can do it (Adobe Premiere Pro is likely your best bet) but the quality being better than Green Screen is unlikely. THere's a reason even multimillion dollar films use green screens--because removing things in post without it is a hassle lol. Thanks for watching!

Got it. And you clicked on the upper video, yes? I know it's a small thing but just want to be sure as clicking that upper video is what triggers the button...or at least it's supposed to. According to this forum (discussions.apple.com/thread/251752934), there are many issues after updates. If that is the case, then as a last resort, you might have to try updating or uninstaller and reinstalling iMovie.

There are some that can stick on a wall, some come with their own stand and, in my case, the Elgato Collapsible Green Screen which basically collapses into its own box and comes straight up like a projector screen. Hi Rose! The Green Screen I got is in the description of the video! I recommend purchasing one as either a backdrop or (what I have) something you can fold away. Chrome Key is just a function in video editing software (like iMovie, Hitfilm, etc.) that lets you remove the green color from the background. Background images and videos I either download or take screen captures based on what I need. Best of luck!

Hi! I am using iMovie. And yes--only thing different for video would be that where I dragged and dropped a picture, you would just have the MOV/MP4 file. For backgrounds, people generally use looped videos, as those can be repeated as many times as needed without looking like there are cuts in the middle. Thanks for watching!

Hey! So it is possible to remove custom colors in *some* software (Hitfilm and Camtasia are two examples; I haven't found it yet in iMovie). In those, you can select Chroma Key effects and just pick the color you want to remove from the image. So if you have a white background, where anything that isn't white and you can remove the color white from the image to replace your background. I have a collapsible green screen called the Elgato Collapsible Chrome Key Panel. It comes in its own box and, when you need it to, you just pull it up like a curtain and pull it back down after using. On the second Windows tutorial for green screens, I show it quickly if you are interested. Hi Maritza! I'm sorry for the late reply! :) You can get a green screen from any store that does photography supplies. The one I use is the Elgato Collapsible Green Screen, which is kind of expensive but I like because it is in its own box and just collapses when I don't need it. But if you can get just a green screen styled-curtain, it's very affordable as you can hang it up on a wall behind you and then do it in front of that! Hi! While Background Removal is easiest with a Green screen, it is possible in other ways. So basically, think of the green screen as a background color that you are removing from the image--and while it works the best, it is NOT the only color you can remove and there are other ways. Hi Mrs. Khalid--there are two ways to give it a title. If you did the way in the 2020 video where you create a "Quiz Assignment" in Google Classroom, just change the title of the assignment to Assessment. The second way, from the 2019 Forms video, is to change the title of the form itself. Go to forms.google.com, find that form, click on it, and change the title to Assessment at the top and make any changes. Then, when you click on the top right to Share, copy that link to share the form and paste it wherever your students can access it. Does that help or did I misunderstand your question?
