Thank you! This is a clear explanation that I can use, not a magic trick with the details left out. Keep producing these videos!

Easy to understand , been looking for a good clear explanation a very long time most of them are too fast , I couldn’t catch it. Thank you so much for producing good tutorials for a beginner like me.

Good video... well explained. I have not used feathering like you did. I can see many uses for it already. I've always used the soft brush, but had no control over the hue and brightness. thx.

Thank you… I enjoy hsb because when we make a selection the shadows and highlights are generated by the original colors. We’re just pushing pixels. Kinda crazy!

Helpful tutorial, thanks. Is the mixing of the black multi-weighted outline of the cloud and the soft 3D clouds redundant? Obviously, you are the creator, and all style choices are yours to make.

It kinda is, although it adds just a little punch to it.

@@thedoodleworks I have a quick question if I may. If I want to create a shadow below an object to ‘ground’ it, would it be best to use the selection tool and feather as you describe? Thank you for your very user friendly videos, it’s refreshing to watch a tutorial that is at a ‘normal pace’. Most are too speedy to take in the information!

I used the selection tool method to demonstrate it and show it as another alternative. Especially if you’re looking to blur a specific shape. However, the brush method is probably the most popular way to cast a shadow. It gives you the most flexibility… I usually use the method myself. 🙂 But thank you for commenting on the videos… i hope this helps

I've been enjoying your tutorials but is there any chance you could lower the music volume? I am deaf with a cochlear implant. I can understand you quite well but its difficult to hear you through the music. Great job though :)
