Great tutorial! For some reason though, I can't seem to make the clipping mask work in a group in Photoshop CS5... I thought I was doing something wrong but then I tried on CS6 and worked perfectly. Thank you so much for existing Teela

Liz Mehr Hey Liz! I scanned them in, then adjusted color/vibrancy (levels) and removed the white backgrounds from them all in photoshop - no image tracing here :)

+Lauren D I very much share your appetite for tutorials on GIMP. I am a Photoshop and Illustrator user but it's far from certain that I will continue to have access to these expensive programs. GIMP is free (I can have it at home!) and I want to be able to do what I can with it.

Am I the only one got trouble with creating clipping mask? I can't create a clipping mask if i group the textures. Or, i can create a clipping mask without grouping textures, but only one texture can get a mask.

Yep, I had the same trouble. Ungrounded it worked, but only with one of the words. I tried it again with all the text on one layer and then it worked. Not sure why.
