Is there a way to control the movement of the wind? I have added the wind but the movement is not random. It has the exact same pattern - like a wavy movement. It doesn't look good.

How would you go about adding wind to foliage assets you've created or downloaded from somewhere like Turbosquid? i.e. assets that don't use the Quixel materials. I followed a tutorial on creating a wind material but it doesn't work on foliage for some reason.

I am using the "procedural biomes" pack, and I cant find the "wind" property on any of my material instances, any idea why or where to find the wind property?

Actually my foliage is disappearing in unreal is there any way to solve it
@PhilHarland-hz1pm6 ай бұрын
Could be something to do with Culling distance set on your foliage meshes, or maybe your Camera cull distance, or check if there's anything like a "use 2-sided" setting on your mesh for rendering... also for performance you should really find a "wind grass" (not Quixels as they are too detailed really!) which has a mesh size of around a couple of hundred triangles (not the 1,000s in Quixel). Additionally as seen on some other videos for your grass meshes, open up the mesh and under "LOD Picker" set the "LOD 3" entry to turn off "cast shadow" as u can't see it anyway at that distance, and maybe for all grasses turn it off (depending on how it looks to you)! This video also has a console command setting you can put into your Level Blueprint which greatly improves performance (my FPS went up by over 40!) when using grass kzbin.info/www/bejne/d6DFqoCbnNWIg8k p.s. If you have "bright grass" depending on which way u look at it.. see this video re lighting kzbin.info/www/bejne/iWG8oJiggpJojKs

doesn't work here! even to added the wind, the grass don't move, and don't have options to control the movement!

People who know what you know what you are doing will not need to watch this video. What would help me understand what you are doing (and why you are doing it) better would help if you simply slowed down, and explained step by step what you are doing. You are too rushed for beginners (more experienced people can skip), whereas I want to learn from a teacher who knows how to teach. We do not think as fast or know as much as you do - remember that. I hope that helps. Just 1 flower in the wind would be enough, concisely explained. Keep it simple. I this presentation, I can feel its unrehearsed nature. I presume you want to be a good tutoring channel, so you should consider learning tutoring skills. I notice there is no "experience level" (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced) in the video title,. You can fix this. As an educator, this will help your viewers. My take-away for you for future videos is plan the video and do not rush and explain what you are doing, and make the video title explicate about the target viewers (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced) .
