Can you bend for loft changes on this also?
@TheNYgolfer2 жыл бұрын
The way I see it, you would have to modify the machine because the bracket that gets jackscrewed down onto the top of the clubhead has lateral slop in it and will move laterally if you bend the loft. Probably securing 2 c clamps to that bracket might enable you to adjust loft angles.
@chrisbrown5072 жыл бұрын
Can you measure loft also with the protractor? I see you measured lie. Thanks
@jessjennings9427 Жыл бұрын
I'm guessing your accuracy with this method is somewhere around 30%to 50% and the time for bending will be 10 minutes at best ?

When I click on your link it doesn’t go to your bending vise

So you bent them to all the same lie angle? My son plays the same clubs cobra told use to not bend them to the same etc… the club yardage and flight issues would be affected ? Did you notices any issues with the flight and yardages. Where looking for a true one swing, with different lie angle to doesn’t make sense.?
@petervonpanda2 жыл бұрын
My clubs are one length, so they’re all the same lie angle from the factory. I just wanted them slightly more upright than stock.

@@petervonpanda we play the same iron rad speed single length. Bought new from cobra.Now they have different lie angles? Maybe the change them. Thanks

I was told that most irons can only be adjusted 2-3 degrees maximum. Or they will snap at the hozel.
@coegj Жыл бұрын
That's for Cast irons, forged irons can be bent 4 to 6 degrees flat or upright, and you can increase or decrease loft about the same with forged. I have had this same unit from Malty Golfworks for over 30 years and it is still being used regularly. I once broke the hosel of my favorite wedge ( which was cast ) by bending two degrees, I wanted the 55 degree sw to be 57 degrees which would add bounce and loft, snapped that baby like a pretzel, was pissed off but is was a learning lesson and Santa Golf Clause just came early that year is all.
@kepler240 Жыл бұрын
You can always heat it up a little. But it's a fine line between heating the hosel and melting the epoxy and ferule. It takes a lot of heat to melt the epoxy but the ferule not so much. I don't have that issue with my older Pings....the ferule I mean.

My limited observation is that the greatest Golf club lie angles are found in the 19th hole. Peace

You do know if you don’t exactly bend it perfectly straight, which you probably aren’t you are changing the loft as well?

The equipment maintains the loft angle as you adjust the lie angle

I would think if the tool is not perfectly level than the gauge you have would be wrong.
@jkdjoseАй бұрын
It doesn't work. I just got one. You need a double locking vise, with this vise, if you noticed, he skipped the bending part, you start to bend the whole bending thing will slide out of the jaws.

Don’t need brass sleeves just buy 2 dollar electric tape and wrap the hosels. Mitchell certified for 10 years

Isn’t it true u are not suppose to bend cast club? Only forge clubs
@smileypureblood9303 жыл бұрын
Yes and no ….ping irons have a special notch for bending…what I have heard is to be safe no bending more than 4 degrees either way ….other cast clubs no more than 1,2 degrees at risk of breaking and some you can’t at all.
@williamelliott37782 жыл бұрын
not true. Cast are a little more prone to breaking, but my guy has bent thousands of cast.
