How To Adjust & Remove the Speed Limiter on a Yamaha PW50

I use the throttle screw adjuster on our ‘23 we just got for my 2 and a half year old son. And it feels as if it it only allows either absolutely barely any throttle or it’s just wide open. No matter how much we adjust the screw on it. It’s either all or nothing. If I was to remove the chairs restrictor will the screw be more responsive or will I be running into the same issue with the screw

Just got the same issue myself have found I can slightly fine tune it with throttle cable free play but it’s still will want to just pick up speed all of a sudden

Can I adjust idle to help with restrictor screw issue? I just can’t get it to run out one speed it’s either full noise or not enough throttle to move it.

Personally every Yamaha dealer will tell you that power restrictor is useless(choking engine too much) and that screw is enough....We bought it brand new already without that restrictor on and our 3 years old was just fine...because you need some power to control bike safely...😎🤙

Just remove the two screws from the front take the gasket out and you’re done. No need to remove the seat.

Please do not take your oil pumps off and start pre mixing

Why do you say that? Many people have problems with the oil injection system not mixing the fuel/oil consistently and prefer to do it themselves.

@@rmatvmc lubrication to bottom end bearings is not as good as with the pump you will get more life out of a engine with a pump on it than with out oil pumps rarely fail but people remove the pumps pre-emptively everybody that brings me any bike with a oil pump blocked and is pre mixing I always ask why? they always say they're scared it will fail so they blocked it yet it hasn't given them any trouble the bike is desighned that way for a reason if they were that unreliable yamaha would rectify it not run the same design for 30 years
