Brilliant. I loosed the bottom receptacles and put painters tape on the posts to see where the posts were hitting. Tightened the receptacles so they don't move and lowered them as far as I could. I then put a bit of lube on the posts and now it closes all the way.

My 2006 boxster has failed convertible top ctrl on dash,wont open and its sounds exactly like the last time my pushrod plastic cracked disabling convertible top,! Plus windows won't shut fully. Really want to remove gear box and push rod to manually top! and the windows work fully.

Hey, your problem is a common one. It’s a failed microswitch at the center of the roof where the hook meets the top of the windshield frame. There is a little switch that should click when engaged with the hook. You can even put your finger where the hook engages and hear the click. At this point the windows can go up all the way because the engaged switch will signal that the top is fully closed. The process to change the micro switch is very easy and not expensive.

I just paid a mechanic 400€ for parts and labour for this, and he did not fix the issue. I wish I had seen your video before😢
