Maybe because (with my Maxi-Cosi) the straps don't losen when you pull on them. That was my whole point of watching the video but no answer. (But personally I wouldn't dislike a video for it)

Like first comment. The straps doesn’t loose this way. It’s practically impossible to loosen them.

I have a maxi cosi cabriofix and these steps do not work as there are no levers at back. Any idea??

Don’t believe this video. There’s no mechanism. It’s practically impossible to loosen the stripes.
