How do I know when to tighten up my cover? Was tight but after a week or so of driving, snow ect it flops a bit more in the back when locked and closed. I don't want to over tighten it. Any advice?

My Gator ETX keeps pooling water. I initially set the retention to 4 and it seems good there but its pooling. I tried the tension at 3 and it seemed too tight and the tailgate was harder to close and the left side was raised up some. I wasn’t able to see if it pooled up. I switched the tension back to 4 but still pooling.

My tonneau cover has moved, slid, over to the right somehow. Enough so that one side the velcro is just able to latch. How do I fix this and what caused it to happen in the first place? Thanks in advance! :)
