Get pillow slips from eBay. $2 each and exact quality of what you'd expect in stores. Get artwork from Michaels. Use coupons and it's super, super cheap in the end and you have a huge variety you can choose from because you can bring printouts or thrifted works, etc. Also, eBay is really good. I have a full wall of art from eBay. Some I won for 30 cents! You'll have to get your own frames for it but, in the end, each piece only cost me about $9 each.

This is the cutest video ever! I see people commenting they don't think her finds were cheap. But think on this.. she got high quality items for really reasonable prices! It's one thing to buy cheap and get cheap. Quite another to buy quality at reasonable prices. If you also notice she doesn't have a lot of useless clutter which is the mistake many make.. they buy because it's cheap.. even if it ends up just looking like clutter. Well done Michel!

My daughter just furnished her college student studio apartment on a budget too. We used Ikea, Target and Wayfair, with Ikea getting the bulk of the budget. She managed to put together separate areas for bed, study, lounging and kitchen, since her studio does not even have a kitchen. Thanks for sharing your thrifty finds. Amazon is a amazing place you should never be ashamed to be shopping on amazon I basically live on that websight. Also go thrifting/craigslist/Facebook hunting for furniture sometimes you can find some really amazing pieces for pretty cheap or sometimes free! If you are looking for something just to have until you can save up for a nice new couch or table it's a very good option. I also find lots of coupon for stuff like the 20% off any one item those are great for places like target or Walmart always look for those. An lastly always look for sales going on. Lots of places have been having closing sales or some kind of liquidation stocks recently so take advantage 💝

buy cheap prints off Etsy for ~5 bucks or less, print them at a library if you don’t have a printer (probably around 5 cents to do it, but i have a printer so it’s free for me) and buy cheap frames from michaels

I love that this says that it is affordable when it really isn't. If you are a starter, all of these items are really so far out of budget. Show locally and check Facebook or Craigslist or even like a local market or salvation store!

I thought this was affordable unlike people are saying. Of course it's cheaper to buy second hand but then you compromise the exact feeling and vibe you convey when you buy furniture specifically for you taste and style. It's definitely more expensive to buy things tailored to your space but if it makes you happy to see it fit perfectly together then to you it might be worth it. Thanks for sharing. I have a cool cheat for you with your curtains. I totally bought short curtains too and then I found some interesting patterned fabric that I just fabric glued to the bottom of the drapes and now it matches my bedroom duvet cover. It was a deeply disconnected twin duvet cover that I had to cut up and then glue /sew to my drapes but wow it turned out really cute. ❤️ and I think I paid $12 for the materials. Anthropologie has such high quality stuff you couldn't tell it was a duvet cover.

Haha firstly there’s nothing wrong with decorating or dressing yourself with bargain and your apartment is super modern and cute. I worked in retail for many years and cannot bring myself to pay regular price for mostly anything. I moved to a new apartment with barely any furniture last year at 46 and most of my furniture is from Amazon with some Target and a tiny bit of IKEA mixed in. I made sure to shop around and found many, many steals, but you’d never know by looking at it. Our apartment looks cute and adult in an eclectic boho modern type of way and we love it.

I used a beautiful purple Igloo cat box which caught most of the litter scratched around & gave the cat more privacy than we had. I trust that your litter box is stylish but all that I can see is the cat relaxing & swatting the tail.😂 Nice apartment, decor & furnishings. 👌🏾

Where in California do you have to reside to order from bulkea? I entered in my OC zip code and nothing. I then entered in a LA county zip and nothing. 🥺 great finds! I think you have a very adorable studio apartment! But for me it is just sad to see, that being on a budget just means to buy very cheap stuff especially from amazon and the other "bad boys" - because most of the time you save money at the expense of the people who have to produce the products and the environment. It would be lovely if you and everybody else would try to save money and stick to a budget including all the cost of the production - not just the one you see in your wallet. So going thrifting is a great option and sharing or trading with neighbors and so on. That was just on my mind. It is important that we think about our beautiful world. Greetings from Germany!

Cheap doesn't equal bad quality all of the time. It is just that you were lucky to find the item for a really low price.Many factors influence prices and most of them don't have anything to do with quality. I think the prices are moderate not cheap not expensive but definitely for somebody on a tight budget with a good job, not for a broke college student.
