I did the same but when it came to bleaching nothing happened. The back paint came off quite well. But no matter what I do bleach is not eating the silver mirror layer Bleach just dries crusty on the surface and that’s it Any ideas what to do?

I know it depends on the age of the mirrors. That newer mirrors don’t pull back as much. Sorry! I’m not sure.

I would put a wee bit of mineral sprites on the back of the mirror. Less time and energy ✨️

@@TheTopDrawerRVA Hi Melissa I saw a guy working on a place and he said if your stripping and it gets dry put a wee bit of mineral spirits. It worked

I've tried using the citrus stripper and have had it on for over an hour and it's not stripping the mirror paint😢

Any chance your in California? They have different formulas for chemicals not allowed there.

@@TheTopDrawerRVA no. Chicago. But I put plastic wrap over it and let it sit overnight and it finally worked
