Not necessarily that simple. Ping times are mostly to do with the physical distance from the host, and if it's too far away it won't be 4 bars no matter if wired or not. On my Netduma router I can see my ping time to the host, and I have noticed that 4 bars is a ping time of 90 or less, and the 100-150 range is 3 bar.

ShovelCraft11 That's a completely different topic. The Skorpion EVO isn't a weapon of precision at all; it is simply a weapon revolving around such an extreme rate of fire. You really can't use the Skorpion EVO well at long range, as you'll need to burst or single tap just to be accurate.

If you put long barrel on a Skorpion, you can still get range like an MSMC, which has good distance. I remember doing that a while back when I played games.

I found out the FAL is a little hard to get used to but it improved my aim tremendously. While the FAL is really good for other reasons, I found that going back to the AN-94 is a breeze. Use the FAL for a bit!

I can see the concept. I wanted to be a good sniper, so I just...started using it. Eventually, I built my kd from a .8 to a 1.42 with the Ballista as my main weapon. I hold a 1.32 kd with it, which I was rather proud of. When I switched back to ARs I was blown away by how easy it was to use the M8A1, AN94, and a few others. Just don't get too comfortable because then you'll get lazy and your aim will dull. lol

I realize this video was uploaded 4 years ago but oh my god. My aim improved so much by using this technique. First 3 matches with the TAC45 I was getting slaughtered but then I started improving around the 4th game and the last 3 games I was going positive on my K/D and ending up at the top of my team every match. Easy-- use a mouse. With keyboard ofcourse. Edit : Its been 2 years now and I look back at my comment. Wow so many replies. Personally I still stand with my point. I say that because I myself grew up playing PC games and never clutched a controller in my hand before until last year, when I just turned 19 years old. Using controller playing cod just feel so unnatural for me and I have absolutely no idea how people play fps with controller, even with aim assist. I myself have quit playing COD on PC, and I dive into CSGO. Gotta say, the best fps I have ever played. If using controller in COD is hard enough, there's absolutely no way one can play CSGO with controller, given its gameplay mechanic.

I tested this out and it actually does work. After using the tac 45 for about 6 games, I pulled out the PDW which I have always struggled with its recoil, and I put up really good scores with high scorestreaks. Thank you Drift0r!

Hey, want to experience a game with a HUGE skill gap between people who can and can NOT aim. Then take Counter strike Global Offensive for a spin, if you cant aim then you are gonna die a lot. Aim compensation for recoil and even movement plus memorizing the patterns at which each gun shoots, its a little overwhelming for new players. I am just glad I had played CS for years before competitive became so popular.

Funny, I've used this method to help my aim and it works. One thing that is helpful for all skill types is play on HC team death match against two bots nuke town. Place the bots on your comfort level. Don't be afraid of veteran. Set the kill limit to 45(or games take forever) and try to get a 2.0 K/D without head glitches and nades. It helps to write down how well you did and try to think what it was that helped you have a good game. Also, it helps track your progress. Using bots is a nice control because the skill level in pub matches can vary tremendously. This gives you an accurate judgement on how well you do. Hope this helps. Have to put my twist on it for AW. Use the Atlas 45, turn off both auto aim options, for console, and run that for 1 day. After wards leave auto aim off and I run the mp11 goliath with stock quickdraw and red dot. After doing that for a day turn back on auto aim and just be amazed at how quickly you shred people. I never realized how easy aiming is with auto aim and I actually had to acclimate to the fact I had a slight sticky aim because I was so use to leading targets and firing and stepping side to side and all the movement. But this drastically helped me. I went from middle of the team to the top in the room on most games.

Pretty good strategy, it kind of reminds me when people in marching band would struggle to hold their instruments for 9 minutes straight, we would train them by adding weights to the instrument and make it heavier and difficult, and then once the weights were off, holding the instrument would be extremely easy. This is a good strategy not just for aiming, but pretty much a lot of other things as well

I only started playing Black Ops II online about a couple, maybe three, weeks ago, and I only started watching your videos a week after. When I started, my accuracy was bad. Really bad. I realized even before knowing your channel existed that using the Tac-45, which is my favorite pistol, will help me improve my aim. At first...well...I was dying over and over again. Now, I don't believe myself to be a good player. In fact, I used to get a kill death ratio that was lower than one all the time (though now it's over one most of the time). However, after using the Tac-45 a bit, I was getting a whole lot better. I now have it maxed out at Prestige 2 and I have a complete mastery of the pistol. I have taken out a group of three men with only 3-4 shots. I have outmatched snipers from a long distance. I play on hardcore though, so it doesn't take as many bullets, but my reactions also have to be quicker. When I use a submachine gun after a few rounds of using my Tac-45, it feels amazing. I do have a question though in case you read this. Is using the Tac-45 too much and becoming too comfortable with it going to have bad affects on my gameplay?

I run a stealth class with silenced Five-Seven, Lightweight-Ghost, Toughness-Cold Blood, Dead Silence and a Betty. Needless to say, my aim improved A LOT using this class, as well as my flanking abilities

I learned to play with the Light Machine guns in MW2. I would spray and pray and use a launcher as well. That was when I was about 6. I am now 13 and fell in love LOL with the FAL about a year ago and since then my aim has become amazing. Also, another way to improve your aim is to quickscope for about 5 games. This helps you realize where the center of the screen is and helps you learn to put your target there before you shoot.

If you wanna improve your aim on a variety of guns and all around start playing sharpshooter and one in the chamber/sticks and stones party games..if you havent youll start using guns and setups youve most likely never put together and some are real fun and some are challenging it forces you to get better with all guns and all around aim.

These are good tips but probably not for everyone. For me, I tend to adjust to whatever gun I'm using a lot of. If I start using a pistol for a while, I can start practically sniping people with it, but if I go back to normal guns it's a bit weird, and vice versa. I think it's just different handling.

Step 1, use an lmg with a heck a lot of view kick, bad sights, recoil and gun kick, and high rof. Step 2, try to stabilize the LMG by moving the control stick so the bullets are rather close together.

Another way to make yourself more accurate is to go for Diamond Snipers. I did this earlier this week (a bit pointless this close to AW I know) It took me 8 hours gameplay. I used to play on 8 sensitivity for reg guns and 11 for snipers. I can now play on 11 for everything. I also got my first Nuclear medal last night, which was helped by my new found accuracy.

The best tip I can give when it comes to aiming better is to use your left stick more. If a guy tries to run to left or right of you, it's much easier to track him by strafing.

The whole point of using the tac-45 is the kick. It's made to teach you how to land most of your shots with high recoil weapons. Don't go easy on yourself if you are trying to get better at landing shots.

This helped me so much. Thank you. I used an additional practice method before and in between the first few of the 7 rounds. I practiced my aim by keeping my sight within door frames. I would aim inside a door frame and I would walk left to right in a v shape while keeping my sight within the door frame. I practiced fast small movements by going left to right up and down inside the door frame. I also practiced 90 and 180 degree turns and drawing my gun at the end of the turn. In just 2 hours I improved 300%.

I learnt from Combat Training on BLO trying to quick scope with the L96A1. Ever since I use 5 sensitivity, and if there is anyone that is in my view I will hit them with every shot. I get about 2 hacker messages per session, and people say that I have aim bot a lot. Also, try the COD4 shooting range mission and the very beginning. I did that for a long time and if you can do that under 19 seconds (not including bonus so around 16 or 15 seconds) then aiming will be very easy.

This reminds me of a different strategy that I prefer even more for aiming. Grab a ksg and put suppressor on it, with nothing else. Try to take longer shots than you should with a ksg, forcing yourself into the 2 hit kill distance. Both shots matter and after the second the enemy usually runs always or kills you, so being precise matters. I did 10 games with this. I now can aim much better with all guns and have a gold ksg.

How to make a Vector K10 a beast at range and up close: Reflex (RDS), Foregrip, and a Long Barrel. I used it for a while and brought my Kill/Death ratio from a 0.73 to a 0.94 in 3 days. P.S. Driftor, I love your freakin' video man, keep'em up!

Great advice and good tip, but another equally important tip IMO is not to reload so much. I had the habit of doing that too often and would get wasted a lot so I made myself a rule. Never reload until you make THREE kills. Once I broke the nasty habit of reloading so much, my KD shot up. I only did this with SMG and assault guns. Thumbs up if it works for you.

Ever since I bought BO2 (When it was for he people who pre-ordered), I tested EVERY gun until I got atleast 1 camo. Out of every gun, I have ONLY used the Ballista, DSR 50, Tac-45 and the Scorpion EVO. These guns of course have gold due to using them SO MUCH. Surprisingly, I have found that having 3 attachments for your main gun, helps A LOT (1 for a suppressor, 1 for a Scope/Sight and the other for Stock or something else for stability. Of course this is mainly a Scorpion EVO, due to it's HORRIBLE stability.)

I'm so happy I happened to stumble upon this. Thank you so much, I am very greatful for this tutorial and tips, this really works but it will take some time to get used to if you're not good with any single fire pistols. This helped me get super close to some bo2 sniper clips that I can't even come close to before. So thank you, and Drift0r is now my Tac-45 class setup's name. ^_^

I agree, this can actually work. I, for instance have been using the FAL DSW and my accuracy has increased so much to the point where before when i couldn't even get a frikin' UAV and recently got to an Orbital VSAT!!! This will help, i am a witness of this strategy.

First FPS I ever properly played was Halo: Reach. You don't learn how to aim from that, but I learnt how to get headshots and be accurate from it and the fact that in some objective games I will stay near the bomb or flag and pick off anyone that comes near quickly is thanks to that game. I learnt how to aim from playing COD, and that is about it.

well, i train my aim by doing a 1vs 7 deathmatch against veteran bots with different health settings. 60% hp in order to be forced to aim immediatelly " perfecrly" and 200%hp in order to practice keeping the aim on the target. and then i switch off the aim assist. its incredible too see how much you rely on that assist. its just you and the weapon and imo it increases drastically your raw aiming. and whwn you enable the assist again, you will appreciate it even more. the only thing that sucks that you cant pre set the classes of the bots

Before this video, I was already using pistols only, I didn't play with a single weapon that wasn't a pistol, and dang, when I went back it was amazing, so definitely this worked for me

Something I've found that really helps with this drill?? The Executioner, you really have to aim your shots with it. Thanks for this video, I'm getting more kills and I don't use aim assist.

I tried out Tac-45 with scavenger first. The recoil on the pistol limited my firing rate a lot. I then tried the Five-Seven, which was more manageable. Switching back to my MTAR, the aiming did improve a lot. Thanks for the vid Driftor.

For rifles as far as accuracy and speed training I recommend the FAL and the SMR, the Tac 45 acts way more kind than a .45 pistol.

Before I did this I was averaging around a 1.5 K/D. While using the Tac-45 it dropped to around 1 K/D at first and then climbed back up to around the 1.5 I was at before. However after switching to the MTAR I am now averaging 2.5 to 4 K/D and winning a lot of gun fights that I was losing out on before.
