In Microsoft Word, alignment refers to the orientation and appearance of a paragraph's edges. There are a few different types of alignment, including:
Left-aligned: The left edge of the paragraph is flush with the left margin. This is the most common alignment.
Right-aligned: The right edge of the paragraph is flush with the right margin.
Centered: The text is centered horizontally between the side margins.
Justified: The text has straight edges on both sides of the paragraph.
To align text in Word, you can:
Select the text you want to align
Click Align Left or Align Right in the Paragraph group on the Home tab
Click Center in the Paragraph group on the Home tab to center the text horizontally
Click the Dialog Box Launcher on the Layout or Page Layout tab
Click the Layout tab in the Page Setup group
Click Center in the Vertical alignment box
Click Selected text in the Apply to box
Click OK
You can also align objects in Word, such as pictures, shapes, text boxes, SmartArt graphics, and WordArt.
