The servers have built in luck ticks, if you know math, it follows a slow moving sine wave of probability. And after someone gets a legendary (or sometimes on a higher tick 2 legendary are possible), the sine wave drops low. So after someone gets 1 or 2 legendary, for the next bunch of hatches, everyone is going to get commons and uncommons. Then the wave climbs back up and rare and ultra rares start showing up again, and after a while, the server is ready to produce a legendary again. If you've been on a server with lots of people hatching eggs and nobody has got a legendary in the last 20+ hatches, that server is a prime candidate to produce a legendary, start hatching eggs. If you are on a server and someone just hatched a legendary, there is a lower chance of a 2nd legendary. After that second legendary for sure though, the server will produce a long string of commons and uncommons, maybe hold off on hatching an egg for a while.

This is the hack i found works the best and has worked many times for me: Simply just forget about the egg at all, don’t even think about it. just go one your normal adopt me ways and pretend like it’s not there (but still do the tasks for it). This works for me when i’m just speed hatching a lot of eggs and aging them up. i just forget about them because it just becomes natural

Personally, a thing that me and my friends always do is hatch our pets at the same time and chant legend in chat, most of the time it works and we do get legends (eg: I got criosphinx, she got cactus). Also the garden egg got me so mad at one point cuz I bought over 40 and the first 25 were moles, beetles and garden snakes. I feel your pain.
