woah I used to watch these types of tutorials religiously not long ago, now there's one for me that's WILD the result is dope man. I'd personally have less chromatic aberration and edge blur (subtle is always better) and posterize time is where the sauce is really generated. for the blur moving around, it's not a shape layer with turbulent displace - it's fractal noise, which means you don't have to keyframe anything ultimately my principle is always you can't save bad assets with cool effects. my priority is always finding and generating the best archive and images possible, because that's the difference maker as opposed to all of these fancy effects. you killed it though man, great video 👏

Thank you! Appreciate you taking the time to comment and share a little peak into what goes on behind the scenes. I couldn’t agree more about the assets and it clearly shows in your videos. I always preach that using high quality assets is way more important than you think. I’m upset that I didn’t think about using fractal noise to drive the blob instead of the animated shape layer. I’m even more upset that I cut out the part about posterize time… I wasn’t too sure about it so I decided to cut it from the video ugh Again, thank you for taking the time to leave this comment. Insanely valuable!!

quick question, what is the difference between adding a solid blur map layer and just masking the adj layer that has the blur effect on it?
@mapal8 ай бұрын
With a blur map it’s a lot easier to get the blob look. Especially if you use fractal noise to drive the black and white values. In general I also find it easier to anime a shape than a path. Few more options

@UnforgottenTales111 ай бұрын
Quick question, you seem to be editing in frames like (00:12f, etc). How do you know that these correspond to in the timeline of the video you're editing, perhaps in Premiere Pro? How do match your After Effects animations to a music soundtrack or VO, for example? Because Premiere Pro works off of seconds, I'd like to know how you match them up
