I am an avid Animate user but really want to get away from using it for new projects... the hardest step when all your assets are made in one program and that program happens to be what you use for everything is that finding then learning a new program is a really rough journey if you have little time to set aside. Synfig looks most appealing along with Krita which both have Linux support so I can gradually steer away from relying windows. This tutorial really helped me because the timeline is not very intuitive with Synfig to me compared to Animate where you can just start drawing frame after frame and it all starts to make sense! XD

Just keep watching every time you make a little bit of progress - it keeps you from getting frustrated as much when something you don't want happens, AND your brain will probably make a little happy juice to keep you going when you see your art slowly coming to life. Also start small, like with a 10 second video (like everything on my channel) For reference, the 3D videos took 3 days just to render(ALWAYS do frame by frame .jpg export in 3D) and each flash animation took at least a week (4h per day, 5d per week)
