I wouldn't immediately give fluids unless I ruled out an obstructive shock/cardiogenic shock, which can be worsened by fluids

This is for F2 level core level, not ST level interview for anesthesia and ICU. An echo to rule out is a reg level situation not for an alone FY far far away and no reg around. They want basic ALS reflexes, no complicated medical thought process but fast and calm interventions.

Hi Anna! this video was really useful, thank you! I've just sat my MSRA and a bit unsure where I should start with the interview prep. Could I ask what resources you used to prepare for the clinical scenario/ what did you think was the best way to practice? Thank you!

That’s great to hear. Best of luck for the results. I have made videos specifically on both clinical and portfolio parts of the interview in separate videos. Resources are linked in those videos. Let me know if you have any questions after those.

Hi thanks for the video - just to clarify would you expect the examiner to stop you to give you observations such as HR/BP etc? Or do you just talk through all the possibilities - as in if the BP was low I'd give fluid etc?

This is a very dynamic experience, if you ask for information they give it, if you dont ask they wont, essentially you have scenario like any other OSCE exam, before the station begins. You prepare for it and answer as your first response then once the station has begun, no one can predict how the scenario will go.

for clarification, if you are asked a scenario question you can use 2minutes to prepare your answer.

the scenario will come on the screen, then you get 2-5 mins to prepare depending on which speciality you have applied for. They send a guide like document specifying the exact time you will get. Best of luck
