How To Answer The "Why Real Estate" Interview Question // When you’re interviewing for commercial real estate jobs, most companies are going to want to know WHY you’re there in the first place, especially if this would be your first role in the industry.
The “why commercial real estate” question is one of the most common interview questions asked of analyst candidates at real estate firms, and believe it or not, the way you answer this can actually have a pretty big impact on how you stack up against others in the running for the job.

Hey Justin, in interviews I often trip up on mental math questions that include quick tricks to calculate IRRs on simple case studies mentally. E.g. You buy an asset for 100, it makes 5 a year in CFs for 5 years, after which you sell for 120, what is the IRR? Do you think you could make a video on how to solve these?
