Good tutorial, it is all there except: 1) Some wd40 helps a lot with removing the original stem for its bushing. This was quite hard to be sure, but some good old pounding from underneath helped. 2) It is not a rubber mallet that's needed to pound in the new stem, but a rubber sledge hammer. It's honestly took me a good 20 minutes of pounding the hardest I could to get it all the way in there (and yes the set screws were fully loose and actually fell of in the process). I hope this never breaks again, it is NOT coming off ever again. Props to Apollo for offering to purchase loose parts like these, correcting for the original tightening system which was unideal...

Need a rear-wheel motor repair video, my rear wheel is broken.

I'm willing to bet a wheel change specific video is on the way. For now, try checking the drum brake replacement video and rear fender replacement videos.

Is the City prone to having issues like this broken rear wheel? Does the wheel just eventually break under normal riding conditions?

@@onceuponareset-ho7fg I accidentally hit a road pit in my normal riding, which caused the wheel hub to break and deform.

What is the major advantage to upgrade the stem?
@jdlien817 ай бұрын
This video may be missing a couple of details: First, the original had a little washer underneath the stem assembly and the video didn’t mention this, but after completing the installation, there was pretty noticeable play or wobble in the stem. I’m wondering if this is due to the washer under the stem being missing, but now I have to redo the entire job in the off-chance that it helps the wobble. Can anyone speak to whether this should be added when reassembling? Second, mine didn’t have a Nord Lock at all, so I just tightened the special lock bolt with the weird pin holes as tight as possible. Hopefully I don’t die!

It’s the two nuts that caused the wingle. Tighten and loosen it until it doesn’t wiggle
@jdlien816 ай бұрын
@@yuhuiw1475 I suspect that you’re right - but how do you get to the nuts?
@jdlien816 ай бұрын
Ah, I was able to see it after pulling the stem assembly off slightly. There’s a nut holding the steering bearing and it needs to be tightened slightly. At first I overtightened it which made the steering feel sticky, so this needs to be dialed in just right.

Why would you need a new stem?
@willybaldy19999 ай бұрын
Because it can break.

I got the 22. I’m screwed. There’s nothing like that on mine. I don’t even have the part where you can tighten down the set screw. I can’t stand this scooter. lol
